I was underwhelmed with the performance of this chainsaw. I have used chainsaws for many years and this felt good coming out of the case. However, after following the suggested start up steps, I ran into multiple issues. The chainsaw was very difficult to start after i got it started initially and warmed up. Ran into this multiple times after finally restarting it over and over. This was made worse due to the chainsaw not idling correctly, either. Lastly, the chain tightening assembly did not hold up well under use. The bolts would frequently loosen and the tightener did not function correctly. It felt as though the knob that pushes/pulls the bar in or out to tighten would come out of the guide hole and not move the bar.
When the saw was running, it did seem to have good power and cutting, but that was too infrequent to continue fighting.
Returned this saw and grabbed an Echo from Home Depot. Much more satisfied.
