Never Lazy

The quality could be better.The hopper bag holder came with 2 different mounts to the mower. One of the mounts fit perfectly and there was no need for the extra hardware supplied. The chute from the deck is in 2 pieces that did not want to slide together. I had to heavily chamfer the ends with a die grinder, and use a rubber mallet to beat the pieces together. On the first use I removed one on the hoppers to dump grass, and I used the grab strap on the bottom to dump clippings. Doing that, I assume, the stitching seam from the mesh bag to the plastic bottom pulled apart and tore a strip of plastic off. = HOLE! The plastic bottom was weak due to all the needle perforations from the stitching. I either have to complain to get a new one, buy a new one, or just live with it and treat the bags gentler. I did glue the damaged area together with household goop, put plastic over the glue and then clamped it together with 2x2 wood. I looks and works fine now. We did have to learn to mow slower using the catcher, and make sure the grass is dry. It does work very well under good conditions. No more grass tracked into the house!

Poulan Pro universal fits Husqvarna YTH24K48 perfectly

I was at my local Lowe's and saw the Husqvarna name brand three bin catcher for much higher price. Figured I could probably do better online either way so I checked out Amazon. The same catcher was about thirty dollars cheaper so I kept looking and spotted this one for almost a hundred dollars cheaper. It looked to basically be the exact same unit minus the Husqvarna logo. So I read on.

Most of the reviews were pretty helpful so I'll just try and add my two cents. It came with all parts and instructions necessary to install it on my Husqvarna fast tractor YTH24K48. I had it installed in a matter of minutes < fifteen probably. There was an extra bracket left over for another tractor. My only serious beef with it is that I had to remove my atv hitch with 2" ball to install this. So it looks like when I need to move trailers I'll have to not be so lazy and go get in my truck or swap the catcher out for the hitch.

First run on a 2.5-3 acre cut pretty dry grass that had never been bagged before I had to empty the catcher completely full four times. Once I finished I dumped and it was about half full. It picked up an incredible amount of dead grass leaves and dust. I ran the mower really slowly on high rpm's during the first run through in an attempt to pick up more of the thatch that has been collecting for years and it seemed to do the trick. It's easy to assemble and use and hopefully will result in my lawn being healthier and I now have mulch to put around my trees. I'd buy it again and would recommend it to anyone with a tractor that it fit.

HERE'S WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO TO FIT A CRAFTSMAN MOWER

FINALLY after the third try I was able to get one bought...came right on time, after being told at first it would be z couple of months coming....the actual first part of the chute fit perfect...(make sure your mower deck has the metal 3 inch piece on top that aligns to the chute....the other tube was a bit out of round (due to shipping - it comes in a HUGE box..but was FREE shipping) ...now for the part that you WILL have to be mechanically inclined...it comes with TWO rear brackets that fit the back of the mower....remember this is a Husvarna bagger....the one I used was the one that requires the two long slots on the side (Fig D in the instructions....it DID not fit...so I welded a brace between then..then bolted it on....FIRST thing I did was try and plug up the chute...it NEVER did...if you live near San Diego or Pueblo CO I'd me more than help install it with you...."doesn't cost anything to be nice"....try it Democrats..!!

Fit my Husqvarna YTH 24V48 like a glove

Easiest installation of anything I've ever purchased. Fit my Husqvarna YTH 24V48 like a glove. Literally, just one pin is needed. I normally mow down to 2" and cut when the lawn is around 4". The left bag fills first, then the middle, then the left and middle build up and fill the top of the container by the time the right bag gets half full. I've got a full acre to mow and can mow the entire lawn only having to dump twice. Running around barefoot with my dogs on a fresh cut lawn has never felt so good.

Couldn't Be More Thrilled With This Product

I have a Husqvarna 48" cut rider mower, model YTH 2448. I went thru a series of trying to fit store shelf baggers at Lowes/Sears. None of these fit.By accident, I noticed the Amazon advertisement, and ordered.
The bagger was received in 4 business days by Federal Express.

The bagger kit has a diagram of the 4 possible methods for bagger attachment based on the mower model. The kit also supplies an extra frame assembly for mounting on another possible mower installation method.

I wanted to see how long it took to assemble, thus had my wife put it together. It took her only 7 minutes, with most of that time spent unpacking the parts.
I immediately tried the bagger out, going thru a heavy dropping of oak leaves, acorns, pine straw and maple leaves which were wet to damp.** ALL 3 BAGS FILLED LEVEL, withclippings reaching a level of 12" above top of all bags.
The mower made the yard as clean as a newborns fanny.

The clue to using any mower/bagger is to run the engine at high speed, but going a bit slower than you would cut plain grass at.

I have used several different baggers in the past on other mowers, and I am extatic about this one, and couldn't wait to share this review.
