I was prompted to take the leap into her twisted world because of the stark beauty of the cover, and the other rave reviews.
At ninety-nine cents, I figured that even if I hated the story I couldn't go wrong.
Well you know what?
I LOVED it.
It's a quick read--Raiser sells this as a shortie--but even beyond its length Raiser wrote "a Pound of FLesh" as a gripping, nail-biting, race to the finish.
And what a finish it is!
I'm not going to say anything, because I don't want to spoil it for you, so I'll just leave it at this:
You'll never see the end coming.
Not in a million years.
This is a story of a woman who had (prior) made a wish or a pact. This is a tale of "careful what you wish for..."
I will read something longer by author and recommend her.

Another freaky episode.... Kimberly Raiser has a way of telling twisted and horrid stories that are absolutely believable! Gorey, horrifying, and freakishly wonderful!!Published on June 13, 2014 by Amazon Customer
I loved, loved, loved this story! Be wary when you call forth a demon. You never know if the bargain is true. Just hope it's not. Yep, I'd recommend this story.Published on February 3, 2014 by Lisa

I just didn't care much for this devil-thing story. I do however think fans of this kind of dark story would enjoy it as the writing is descriptive and attention-grabbing for sure.Published on September 4, 2013 by Twostory
This book was not my usual kind of reading. I was not impressed and the storyline was not memorable. I would not recommend it.Published on July 26, 2013 by Lucia Maxfield
I didn't like it but I didn't hate it. It was a very short story and a new but old twist.Published on April 9, 2013 by Sarah Dutton
