A cast of characters is featured at the beginning of the book along with a short description on each. This allows you to immediately identify who is who. Scripture references accompany each section.
The creators have kept very close to the actual biblical accounts but have used creative license in how they have depicted the characters and the words spoken by them along with some of their actions. They have cleverly included some humor also. A couple examples are:
After Adam names all the animals he asks, "Huh? But isn't there anything like me?" He turns around to see two giraffes kissing and looks so sad. Next we see him asleep and snoring whilst God takes out one of his ribs to create Eve.
Abel is a shepherd boy but say's he won't cry wolf! Can't you just imagine your child smiling at this? I did and I am not a child.
There are five chapters in this book:
Creation to the Tower of Babel, Abram to the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, birth of Isaac to his marriage to Rebekah, Jacob and Esau to the death of Isaac, Joseph to the death of Jacob.

I read through both of these Bibles in a matter of just a few hours, that is how easy of area they are so while even my oldest, fast reader will enjoy them (she likes the kind of cartoon art that is used to illustrate) as will my non-reader and my not so strong reader. There is something for everyone in this Bible – whether adult, child or child at heart – this will have you reading the Bible in a way that is easy to understand but in no way takes away or add to the original Scripture.Read more ›
