One thing - If you're going to wear hiking boots for your ride, get the extra long ones. Yes, I wear hiking boots. (It's winter in Minnesota, it snows here.)
They hold my feet firmly to the pedals.
They operate very similarly to clipless pedals.
I can wear regular street shoes with these pedals.
The strap is very durable and bolts securely to the pedal.
A little heavy.
Note: I wear between size 11 and 11.5 mens shoes (typically sneakers) and the regular straps have plenty of room. Some people found they needed the XL version, but I did not.
In summary, these are fantastic pedals for my commuter bike.
It took a few trys to get used to getting my feet in and out of these but after that it became very easy. The pedals have a lot of grip and keep my feet in place. The strap, if adjusted right is comfortable, even after hours of being strapped in. The entire assembly is well built and tough. Should last for years even under trail riding conditions.
The strap, while tough, is also fairly heavy which causes the pedal to flip upside down before you hop on and get your foot in there. Like I said it's easy to used to after a few tries.
Compared to clips these are heavier but cheaper. Egg beaters have a lower profile and can be clipped in regardless of pedal position unlike these. No special shoes are required for these, which can be not only cheaper but more comfortable. These probably take a bit longer to get in than clips. For competitive road riders, these aren't for you. For all other road riders and mountain bikers, I'd say these are a great option to highly consider. I liked mine so much, when I broke down and got a road bike, I put these on them as well.

Best strap pedals I've ever used - easy to get in and out of them (just twist your foot a little bit) and they hold really tight. Read morePublished 5 days ago by DW DW DW
Great compromise when I want to wear tennis shoes or sandals instead of my clip ons.Published 17 days ago by Smooley
They work pretty well but are not perfect. You have to have a fairly heavy sole on your shoe or the aggressive grips/edges on the pedals will get uncomfortable. Read morePublished 1 month ago by Daniel
Liked the pedals but did not realize that the straps came in sizes so had to return for the X-large size so far they are working great for me. Read morePublished 1 month ago by ham77

I've had these beefier for my mountain bike. I used these as trainers for a friend who didn't want to go clip less. They are great!Published 1 month ago by Arnold Bentley
