While I wasn’t aware that the Pressure Pot was a competitor when I downloaded this cookbook (oops - see above for ignorance of all things pressure cooker) I found that the recipes translated pretty easily, and if you have this brand I think it is a great introduction to this particular machine. I’m happy I was able to use it and plan to continue, as some of the egg recipes are intriguing me at the moment. Press on, my friends!
I'm really glad I did. First off, the recipes are 5 ingredients or less. Most you probably have in your pantry or fridge already (with the exception of the meats, of course). Second, super easy prep (that's fast). Third, all the recipes are pretty healthy.
My family are very picky eaters, so I would have been happy if 50% of the recipes would be something they'd like. However, after flipping through the recipes, I'd say they'd probably eat 90% of what's in this book. (They don't like fish, but I'm still going to give a salmon recipe a try!)
I'm really looking forward to trying out the recipes, eating healthier, and saving time! I recommend the cookbook to anyone trying to do the same.
I really like the way the categories are divided up in the cookbook. There’s really something for everyone from Vegan dishes to main course meat, desserts, and side dishes this book covers it all. The directions for using the machine in the recipe are very simple to understand and makes me feel more comfortable that I could prepare this recipe with a pressure cooker. Overall, this book makes me feel much more at ease and more familiar with the pressure cooker which is an excellent way to prepare food as it keeps a lot of the nutrients in the foods we are eating. I loved the variety of dishes presented in the book and I also really enjoyed the different recipes in the book. There’s a lot of good staples in the book which is important especially for 5 ingredient meals, but also there were baked pears, lamb recipes, and recipes with curry and other spices I wouldn’t usually turn to. It is always fun to find these new recipes in books and try something new!
The book was also well edited and laid out. Each recipe has directions to the pressure cooker, a list of ingredients, and a description of the recipe. There is also a grocery staple ingredient list in the front of the book so you make sure you have what you need to find a recipe you can cook at home rather than calling for pizza.
If you need to cook fast meals and still want something to feel good about on the table this is an excellent cookbook for you. Also since it is only 5 ingredients, it makes this an affordable cookbook for everyone. Whether you are new to pressure cookers or experienced with one, I also think this is a great book for you as there is also a lot of information in it and instructions that will help you to master the pressure cooker. There’s really something for everyone in this cookbook and I recommend it as a good staple to have in the kitchen.
