POWER
Sandra Marton
****HOT
Setting: California, Caribbean San Escobal

Marton's opener for her newest S.T.U.D. series proves modern warriors can fight both the bad guys and their haunting pasts when the right woman comes along. Hard bodies and soft hearts get paired when sexy as hell elite soldiers do their duty for feisty women who have no time for romance- or for being rescued even though they desperately need it.

Tanner wants nothing more than to be returned to active status. The wound he suffered in his last assignment has kept him from his duty- but having to go rescue the pampered daughter of a top general is not what he had in mind. Neither is the woman herself, or how his just-healed injury will put them both in grave danger. He will have to trust Alessandra's help if they are to survive the mission, and he will have to trust her passion if they are to find a way to be together afterward.

I cannot get enough of the Wilde/Bellini family. Each and every one of the books in this series is five stars all the way, and this one (Alessandra's story) is certainly no exception! This could be read as a stand-alone, but much more enjoyable if you've read all of them in order as I have. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Sandra has another winner in Power. I loved the story of Allesandra Bellini Wilde and her rescuer Tanner . Tanner is Sioux indian and also a member of the elite team STUD. As a special operative his was asked by General Wilde to go to San Escobal and try to rescue his daughter from the Bright Star who kidnapped her. They were demanding a ransom. Tanner was on medical leave until his leg healed but they released him so he could go on this mission. I don't want to give anything away but you know how these two families operate. This book is an excellent story. It does contain some profanity and some sex. The story will hold you interest the whole way through. A great read

Another bad boy that is really a good guy that doesn't want to admit it or see it. He's so strong and so stubborn yet so genuine.
I understand that strong bonds happen in life-or-death situations but it seemed kinda rushed like not enough tension was built or something. But I loved how strong Alessandra is. That was refreshing.
I usually don't like stories that change POVs too often but Sandra does it so seamlessly and naturally that I never had to stop to think which character is saying/thinking it. It just flows. Definitely a joy to read.

The whole time I was reading, this song was going through my head:
I'm only one call away / I'll be there to save the day / Superman got nothing on me / I'm only one call away… :)

I'm glad this book was free because I probably would've passed right by it but now I want to read about the rest of the family.

This is the next to the last book in the Wilde family saga and the first in a new series about STUD - a special military unit. This is the first book about one of the two daughters of General Wilde by his Sicilian Wife. The general had a total of 10 children by three different wives (some at the same time) and they did not know about the others. She is kidnapped and it is about her rescue in the Central American jungles and the problems that happened later. .

This was one of the better 'stud muffin' books I've read. The lead characters felt real to me. What I really appreciated was that the sex scenes were in good taste and didn't go on for a full chapter or more and really weren't XXX rated. They felt right for the situation. I can't wait to read the next book in this series. There were a few grammatical errors but nothing that interrupted the flow, I just read over them. (That sentence was for those who get caught up on that type of thing. I don't) Also, this was a complete book and not a cliffhanger. I won't even start one of those.

This is the first book of the Special Tactical Unit Division known as STUDS which is even harder to get into than SEALS. We still get to visit with the Bellini/Wilde family and learn more about Alessandra Bellini. Alessandra is in Central America working on saving jaguars. She is kidnapped and her 4-star general father who she is estranged with comes to Tanner Akecheta's commander of STUDS to ask him to go on a mission alone to rescue his daughter. Tanner is still healing from a wound to his leg, but wants to get back into his STUDS team. He agrees to go to South America where he knows the land as he had served their earlier.

Tanner goes into the mission with the assumption that Alessandra is a spoiled, rich girl. He has a bad attitude to begin the rescue. He does not have much background information on Alessandra and has a lot to learn about her. You need to read the book to see how he rescues her and what they have to go through. I enjoyed seeing him wrestle with his misconceptions of Alessandra as he found out who she really was. Alessandra was a strong women that I admired. Neither liked the other one at first. That was an interesting development as they got to know each other.

I love Ms. Marton's books and this one did not disappoint. I can't wait to read the next book in the series. I encourage you to read the book, especially if you like SEAL stories like I do.

J: This is a really good story. I connected almost immediately with the characters and the story line is completely believable. However, there was way more romance than suspense and I like a little more excitement. Nevertheless I think I will read the next in the series.

I was intrigued by this book because it has a native american indian as the hero and being native american myself, I enjoyed the book. I would recommend this book and its sequel. It keeps you intrigued.
