Most people are low in Vitamin D. Why? Because of our life-style, sun phobia, outdated recommended dose of vitamin D supplements and misconceptions about vitamin D.
For many years, I have been checking vitamin D levels in my patients. I was surprised to find that most people were low in Vitamin D - even in sunny southern California.

It is cleverly set out in many individual and important sections and is easy to read and understand.
For anyone wishing to understand the major issues surrounding Vitamin D, this book is a must.
The critical missing point is that Vitamin K2 is required in order to have your calcium metabolism work correctly, with the calcium going to your bones and coming out of your arteries and soft tissues. Without enough K2, the calcium can end up creating an increased risk of heart attack or stroke. Vitamin A (as retinol) also works synergystically with Vitamin D, and all three, D/A/K2, should be taken together. Excellent book on this is Vitamin K2 and the Calcium Paradox: How a Little-Known Vitamin Could Save Your Life, both books together give you a great foundation.
