The quad steers easily. My 17th month old can turn it this way and that with no problems. The power/ignition button is easy for tiny hands to use with an extended thumb while gripping the handlebars properly.
Once you charge this quad's battery for 18 hours, you are good to go for weeks--or days, if it is used constantly, I suppose.
The vehicle is not too tall, so little legs can back it up when they drive it into a corner. The quad is light enough to be moved by a toddler without straining. An adult lady can carry it around with one hand.
The quad seems made well. It has taken quite a few crashes and has not chipped or cracked.
For the price, you cannot beat this experience for your little ones. All kids love to drive. :) BUY IT.
This Dora Quad is so cute, easy to assemble (I did it in only a few minutes with 3 kids jumping on me!), and it's really durable. I've always been impressed that this Power Wheels can climb my driveway and throughout my neighborhood. (I live in New England, so hills are everywhere!)
BTW, my daughters always wear helmets on Power Wheels. I'm a little disappointed that the little girl pictured isn't wearing a helmet, but I digress.
1. Even before it was charged my nieces were zipping around on this Dora quad- they were using their feet as pedals.
2. It was very easy to assemble. I had no trouble getting it set up in a matter of minutes. Except for the stickers. But I always have trouble with getting stickers on smoothly.
3. Price. I got this at a discounted price and it was well worth it.
The niece that I purchased this for is a new 2 year old, and she's already a bit tall for this toy. Keep that in mind when you think about purchasing.
This toy is not really an outdoor toy. It's not made to drive on grass (it will spin-out a lot) but works great on carpet and even on tile/linoleum. It is not very fast, and does NOT have reverse. Also, the turning radius is about 5 inches. You really cannot steer very well with it (but remember, it's for one year olds). But, I did anticipate all of these things when we bought the toy and we really enjoyed it. My daughter drove it around a lot and I believe we only charged the batter 3 times (in 15 months!) It also is a lot quieter than the bigger toys. It is perfect for a one year old looking for an indoor ride-on toy.
