Update: Dec. 1st 2020. I can confirm that this DOES fit the new Xbox Series X controllers. I have one and I just tried. You have to be aggressive but it will snap into place. I went 2 weeks thinking it wouldn't fit even after I tried. Finally was told to be aggressive and it worked.* The only thing I don't like about this is that it has no kickstand but more importantly, it "barely" fits my Galaxy S8 Plus with its Otter Box Defender case. It does indeed fit it but when I upgrade to the Galaxy S11 in February which has a bigger screen, it's not going to fit it if I have a Otter Box case on it. I would like to see another version of this come out that supports bigger phones with cases. It would be a deal breaker if I had to take my phone out of its case every time just to fit it in. I wouldn't do it. It's not easy taking those Otter Box cases off. Other than that, it's amazing. It has completely revolutionized my gaming on mobile. I love it!

Update:3-2-2020: I just wanted to let everyone know, I just got my Galaxy S20 ULTRA 5G and the OtterBox Defender Pro Series case and it still fits this clip. And it has a 6.9 inch screen without the case. So I was pretty happy my new phone fits even in it's huge OtterBox case.

Securely holds phone on Xbox controller

This is a pretty nice clamp to hold your phone on your Xbox controller. The newer Xbox controllers are all bluetooth capable so should connect to any smartphone. Especially useful for Microsoft's upcoming xCloud game streaming service.

The clip basically snaps onto your Xbox controller back. The sync button and usb port remain exposed which is good, but you will need to remove the clip if your batteries need changing. It feels sturdy on the controller and I doubt anything but a major impact would knock it loose.

The phone mount is spring loaded and fits my Pixel 3 with Otterbox just fine so I'm sure it will fit most phones. There are 2 hinges that allow you to adjust the angle and location of the phone to whatever best suits you.

All in all, it works great for what it is intended to do and feels well made.

As a longtime Xbox gamer, it is a little awkward to hold. The mount plus phone adds some weight so at first it the controller feels heavy and off balance. But once you get used to it you stop noticing it... until you go back to a controller without the mount. Not really a knock on the product itself, but worth pointing out.

So I'm happy with it and it serves its purpose.

It's a well built clip. It snaps into place easily and firmly, and adjusting it is very simple and intuitive. The big problem is my phone (galaxy S9+) with what I'd say is a medium thickness protective case on is too thick for the clamps to hold. Once I take the case off it fits perfectly but in this day and age most people have some form of case on their phone, and for me it's a dealbreaker.

Works, But Buyer Beware

NOTE: I am using the clip with an Xbox 360 controller to run Stadia on a Pixel 3XL.

The clip works, but there are a couple of notes to be aware of.

First, I purchased this clip because an article said that it worked with Stadia controllers. It does not. This clip is specifically designed to fit an Xbox 360 controller, which it does well.

The second thing to be aware of the button placement on your phone. I was using a Pixel 3XL. To center the grip, it would be on the volume down button, so you have to place it lower on the phone. This DOES work, however, if your phone has a grip gestures (i.e. you press the sides on the Pixel 3XL to activate Google Assistant), the grip will cause this to activate. This can be avoided if you turn these features off, but that might be tedious if you need to turn it on and off regularly.

TL;DR: The grip works great, as long as you are aware of the potential limitations.

Doesn't for Series X/S controllers

It's got nice angles for holding your phone to your Xbox one controller, as long as you don't use PowerA battery packs with extruding USB charging port.

Dislikes:
I bought this suggesting it would work with both Xbox one and series controllers. It does not fit the series controller well. The clip can be forced on, to get it somewhat attached but it's barely holding and pops off. The clip covers some of the USB-C port and also doesn't naturally center on the controller.

I also don't like the solid plastic over the battery cover. I use a PowerA rechargable battery that has its own extruding USB micro port in the middle and the clip cannot attach with that. If it had been hollow, it would fit. Just seems like more thought could have been put into the design of the clip.

Fair warning, don't buy this for the series controller support. I'm not angry about this purchase, but just wanted to provide info to those who may be looking to use this with the new series controllers.

Great clip for gaming on a mobile device

I got this clip mostly for playing Xbox games on a phone through Xbox cloud streaming or Xbox local game streaming with my Xbox controller. The quality of the clip is good. It is sturdy and attaches firmly to the controller. The rubberized pads on the phone grip hold my device firmly in place. The knobs for adjusting the angle of the hinges are secure and have not come loose during playing, but make it quick and easy to adjust as needed.

The thing that led me to this clip over other available options was the two hinges--it makes it so much easier to get a good balance of the phone on the controller depending on how you want to play or hold the controller while playing. If the phone is not balanced properly, it can get tiring to try to play for long periods of time, but with the right balance there is no discomfort even after an extended time. For me, the balance is best when the center of mass of the phone is vertically above the center of mass of the controller, so the positioning and orientation of the phone relative to the controller changes depending on how I am playing.

I'm completely satisfied with this purchase and would (and have already) recommend this clip to others.

Es mejor de lo que esperaba, está hecho de un plástico de muy buena calidad y los tornillos para ajustar no son "libres" (que solo aprietas y ya) sino que tienen como un sistema de engranajes y que son multiposicion lo que da una mayor seguridad.
Pareciera que el elástico no aprieta fuerte pero puse el teléfono (S10+ que está pesado) y lo ladie y no sé resbala, tiene un buen agarre.

Seems to have been properly thought out and well made.
This clip holds my phone (oneplus 7) nice and securely and it doesn't cover any buttons or ports, meaning you can charge the pad or plug in headphones while using the clip without any issues.
It's simple to install or remove the phone and the clip folds down over the front of the pad for storage.

An amazing product, great to know Xbox partnered with MOGA. The stand clips onto the Xbox controller securely and is well designed with adjustments for height and reach. I was slightly worried about the strength of the plastic especially when you put a heavy phone however I believe that for the money and with it’s 2 year Warranty you can’t really go wrong.

Have tried out a few different mobile controllers and clips. This one is the best I've used. Perfect for playing on the xbox via project xcloud local console streaming or from the cloud if in the beta test.

One thing you can't get around is the weight of your phone hanging off the controller. It makes the whole thing have a very lopsided weight distribution. With a bit of trial and error in the positioning, you can find quite a good balance though and use it no problem.

Works well as expected, feels quite sturdy and durable and the additional pivot points really does help with the balance of a phone on a controller and fits the controller perfectly.

Somehow a downside is that the clip fits the controller perfectly...hence the 4 star rating which might be unfair. It isn't compatible with my battery pack. I have a venom rechargeable which has its own micro USB port for charging, this increases the size of the battery compartment as it pokes out a little, the PowerA is fitted perfectly to the controller with no wiggle room so it wont clip on.
Not a major issue but it means i have to either buy another type of rechargeable battery or go back to regular batteries. As its the most expensive phone mount, this is just a tad annoying and it would have been nice for them to make it a bit more universal.
