My main reason for choosing this controller over other Xbox controllers here on Amazon (other than the cool green color) was that the cable doesn't attach to the controller via a USB port, but comes hardwired to the body of the controller like my old Xbox 360 wired controllers were. I'd read complaints in the reviews of the other brands of Xbox One controllers that the ones with cables connected to the body of the controller via a USB port would often disconnect mid-game. Since this one is hardwired to the body, you don't have to worry about that. That said, the only complaint I have with this controller is that the Xbox Home-On/Off button protrudes a bit and I've accidentally hit it a couple times after turning off my Xbox and inadvertently turned it right back on! It seems to be very sensitive, a minor design issue and the reason I give this controller four stars instead of five. It would be nice if the button were flush with the body of the controller, like the wireless OEM controller that came with the system. Also, the right stick is a bit more "fluid" than the left, but I notice that same fluidity with my OEM controller, so that might just be the way it's supposed to be. Other than those two things, the controller operates as it should and plays well with games. I like that the handles are just slightly longer than my OEM controller. I always like to have a wireless controller on hand in case the wireless one loses its juice and I'll definitely buy more Power A controllers in the future.

Good price for a Xbox 1 Controller that works on PC.

It fits nicely into my hand, has a carbon-fibre-ish design on the back which semi helps with sweaty hand gamers. The sticks are slightly smaller than on the Microsoft controllers but I do prefer the feel of these ones more. There is no Lable for the Start (Menu) and Select (Change View) buttons, so unless you know where they are supposed to be, or you guess, that is a slight annoyance for me trying to teach my sister how to play Skyrim but that's me.
There is a white LED in the middle of the controller that shows if it is active or not, which I prefer over the home button being lit.
The rumbles need to warm up, they are also subtle and not that prominent, but they are there (at least on the games I tried on PC, your mileage may vary on Xbox)
The aux jack works as expected, the quality is perfect so long as you have a good headset and your mates do too.
The buttons all work properly and the controller functions great.

Overall a great price for what you buy, and I would absolutely recommend and buy it again if I need another Xbox 1 controller.

(btw most of the back images are wrong but the front is still the same, I think they changed the product without updating the page.)

EDIT 2018 sept 12.
The vibrators on my controller broke about 3 months in, I sent in a claim to the Power A website and they sent me a new controller 3 weeks later. The customer service was a bit slow but satisfactory in the end, better than most customer service experiences I have had.

Not as ergonomic as the official controller, and I don't like the bumpy analog sticks. However, this was just 40% of the cost of the Microsoft controller and is a great value. A friend who doesn't play many games said she can't feel the difference between this one and the Microsoft controller. The cable is long enough for living room use, and it's perfect for a secondary controller for when friends come over to play NBA 2k or Overcooked :)

Updated 3 months later: The covers for the analog sticks started coming off after just 3 months of light, infrequent usage. You can put them back on, but they don't stick. I can no longer return it and it's useless to me.

UPDATE: (now 2 stars)
LB/RB are starting to feel flimsy and unreliable. a couple times I have felt the plastic briefly get stuck in the controller body. and increasingly now, RB is randomly flaky on whether it works or not (mainly on continuously holding it down - it sort of stutters like the button switch keeps going on and off, but also even just a regular click on it.)

ORIGINAL REVIEW: (was 3 stars)
at first was worried rumble was not working at all - the "buzz" test in xbox settings did nothing, as did the long-X-press that goes to the shutdown menu, which normally triggers a short buzz.

and then read multiple reviews stating defects with one or both motors - either:
- not working
- only one side working
- working but weakly
or
- staying on constantly

but once in game, the motors seem to work mostly ok, if weaker than the factory XB1 controller, fine no problem. and so far no issue with the motors getting "stuck" on.

other than that, it's fine, or even great, for the price. not as solid as the more expensive controller, but it works decently enough. aside from the triggers a bit flimsy, the buttons feel good, the shape feels right.

also nice that I have it connected to a 3m/6ft amazon-brand USB extension with no problem.

While this “off brand” Xbox One controller isn’t as ergonomic & a tad too light compared to the Xbox brand types, it was a great deal & does what it’s supposed to. It’s got the headphone jack but lacks the slot for use w/ items such as the add-on keyboard. Mind you, I’ve only been using this controller for 6 hours so if it bites the big one or gets wonky in any way w/in 3 months, I will update this review.
PS. I’d added my own grips to the directional sticks as I’ve gotten used to them after many years of gaming. They do not come with this controller but I recommend them to everyone, esp. w/ this controller as the L stick is made w/ noticeably thinner quality plastic w/ a deeper Center which makes it feel weird.

Ridiculous product. Bought this a few months ago as a second controller for when friends came round. After the third use the right trigger button is constantly on, despite no pressure being on the trigger. Waste of £20 and would like a refund or a replacement if possible!

This isn't an official pad it's a licenced 3rd party pad but doesn't make that clear.
After playing a few games to give it a good test I have come to the conclusion it is garbage and should not be allowed to use the term official.
The shape is off so skins for the abox pads will be loose and slip round.
The sticks are smaller so thumb grips for the xbox sticks will be loose.
The buttons are all very stiff and makes gaming real hard work, especially if you have demanding pvp.
It seems there is more lag on the reactions from this pad than there is with the xbox1 pad in wireless mode.
The pad feels hollow and cheap.
The hexy back is very slippery and makes the pad slip around in your hand regardless of play sweat.
In all the feel and and play with this pad are garbage, I would well recommend to go the extra tenner and get the original pad as this is truly trash and I am annoyed that I have spent money on it at all, even the cheap 360 knock off's are better than this.

Broken RT trigger

The RT trigger has been broken since I bought this product, it didn't really notice it at first due to type of games I played. When I first notice this and just tried to continue thinking it would stop, however it hasn't and recently it has started to annoy me as when I press the RT trigger once it continues to show that it is being pressed even though I’m not touching it. The only way to stop this is to press the trigger in quite hard and this sometimes stop but sometimes it continues. This problem is quite random as sometimes I can go 3 days without this problem or it would do this for hours.
If you have recently bought this product and have notice this, I recommend you return as I left it too long so I cannot and I don't want others to loss out.

Had it a few weeks, far from the best controller around. Materials feel cheap, very little travel on the triggers, the buttons are stiff and the force feedback shakes the controller violently. My previous 360 controller was a much better product

I DID think that this was a great controller.

After owning it for some time, I recently discovered for myself that even if it's plugged in but not used, it prevents windows from putting my monitor to sleep - also, it interferes with one game X3:TC that I play (using keyboard/mouse) by preventing one in-game function (SETA) from functioning.
The problem with this controller is intermittent but very annoying!
