On the good side, build quality is good and when capturing video from the main camera, the video quality and photo quality is solid. Cumbersome setup time, combined with the app issues, and flight performance is just is too much. Note: I tried the app of the following devices, Samsung S9, S8 and Apple iPad2 and iPhone 7. Similar frustrating results from both.
I am returning the product !
The drone is stable, and so far has been easy to fly.
I sometimes have connections issues on my phone (galaxy s6), pre-flight. Restarting my phone fixes it.
I have not tried other tablets/phones.
The app wants a data connection while its connected to the base station's WIFI. I don't have data on my phone, so I don't get the built-in google maps.
I have not tried their automated flight modes.
And contrary to one of the "answers" here on the amazon listing from the manufacturer, I don't see video modes at frame rates higher than 60 fps. No 1080p @ 120 fps, or 720p @ 240 fps. 1080p @ 60 is the only video mode over 30 fps.
It gets a 5 out of 5 for me if it actually has the video modes claimed, which don't show up in the app for me.
