Editorial Reviews

This is maybe the best book I've ever read about how to be good at something. Not just for musicians!
Andrew Mason, co-founder of Groupon

From the Author

To prepare for The Practice of Practice, I conducted in-depth interviews with dozens of world-class musicians, pored over all the published research on music and other kinds of practice, and combined all of that with my own +35 years of experience as a musician, teacher, and scholar. You can learn more about the musicians who shared their expertise at the Sol Ut Press web site page for the book.

The Practice of Practice written in a friendly, easy-to-read style, with short, interesting chapters. Though I wrote the book with musicians in mind, lots of readers are telling me it's a valuable resource no matter what skill you're trying to improve.
