Hannah is the valedictorian of her class and while trying to write her graduation speech she realizes something. The whole time she was in school she focused solely on her education and forgot to live. She has no friends and has made no meaningful high school memories. So she sets out to get an invite to the party of the year but it's a prestigious event that she can't get into on her own. She devises a plan to get the key to her entry into that party of her dreams. Meet Cody he used to be apart of the in crowd and is the only way Hannah can see to get into the party. They decide she needs practice and he is the perfect practice boyfriend.
I adored Hannah and Cody. I do not think I have seen such a perfect couple in a very long time. I thought it was cute how he was helping her and pulling her out of her comfort zone. In return, she was helping him recover from the tragedy that happened in his life. The passion they had for each other was kind of hot too. It just kind of melted off the pages and steamed up the room. Seriously, it was awesome.
The golden crowd was the typical spoiled rich kids. They were catty and shallow and I hated them all, especially Savannah. That girl needed to get her difficult Starbucks order thrown in her face. The author really knows how to create likable and unlikable characters. I look forward to reading the other books in this series and by this author because she is talented.
