About the Author
Thomas O'Haver is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Maryland at College Park, where he taught courses and did research in the area of analytical chemistry and instrumentation development. Since retirement, he and his wife Mary split their year between Silver Spring, Maryland, and Naples, Florida. He enjoys traveling, reading, biking, swimming, and and ornamental gardening.
