From the manufacturer
The Brion's look may be lean, but it packs a serious punch when it comes to rugged durability. This all-purpose pant features the same benefits as our best selling Stretch Zion pant, but with a slim fit and slightly tapered legs. Water and abrasion resistant, and styled with 5 pockets and a fixed waist, there's no telling where this pant is going to take you.
The stylish and versatile prAna brion pant is ideal for an adventurous Traveler. Wrinkle resistance has it looking good worn straight out of the pack, while water-resistant and quick-drying stretch properties have it ready to tackle challenging environments.

I accidentally walked into a sprinkler system's range and became pissed, but calmed immediately after remembering these were quick-dry. Lol These are very easy to wash and dry too. I dried them in my apt by hanging and didn't require putting them outside on a clothes line.
They are a "straight-leg" cut, so they don't really taper at the bottom, which I think explains the "bell-bottom," comment by some, since modern street wear tends to be slim/tapered. But if you wear these with hiking boots, these will sit better than a tapered leg.
I'm not crazy about the mesh pockets; they don't have as much "structure" so they feel a bit flimsy and tend to pull inside out when taking something larger like a phone out of the pocket. But, the flip side is that they're thin, comfortable and won't hold water if you wade through a river.
The lightweight nylon material makes them very "long" wearing; I wore these several days in a row while camping, hiking and on the road and they just don't feel dirty. Love these pants. I've bought two more.
BUT OMG, the comfort!! Oh ya, they have a stretchy gusset in the crotch, so you can show off your sweet splits skills!
I'll give em 3/5.
Sometimes I will get stiff from programming, so I'll get on the floor and do some yoga while my code compiles. They are very flexible, and I can do the full splits in them without a worry. Though they are stretchy, they don't hug too tight against your legs. Thank goodness, because I'm not a person who will wear "skinny jeans".
These make a great winter shell while running.
They stay clean, they're comfortable, and they look good. The fit is good. Not baggy, by any means, but far from skinny. Plenty of room for cyclist calves.
N.B. the DWR (durable water resistant) coating came off after a few washings, and they got a little textured (when I got them they were super-smooth).
