Descriptions of this new world were detailed and intricate, so it was easy to walk with the characters in the book and imagine doing what they were doing. The characters had human traits, fear, discouragement, hope, love, anger.... The clothing was deftly described with colors, textures, and draping. There were new words used for age, for night and day, and for distances, so the reader's mind needed to stay on top of things in this new culture.
Apparently this world is based on Australian aboriginal mythology, so the author has done us a service by giving us a peek into that mythology.
Well done. It was a long read, for me, even though only 366 pages because I don't read much, but I'm so glad I read Prasanga. Great mind tickler!
