Review

7 Pre-Game Habits of Pro Hockey Players, by Brett Henning should be mandatory reading for any player striving to maximize his or her potential. His unique and humorous hockey lingo; writing style connects instantly with any player who has stepped foot in a hockey locker room. Many of his techniques are used by the U18 National Team Players I coach and by former teammates of mine who play at the highest level on the planet.Whether you are a Midget AAA player trying to find motivation for your 5th game in 3 days or a seasoned pro trying to stay consistent over a grueling 82 game schedule, this book has the recipe for your success. --John Wroblewski --Asst. Coach USA Hockey National Team Development Program

I asked (texted) him what he thought the difference was and he sent back 2 words...The book. Then he even said thank you for giving it to me! After I ordered it I read it and I knew he could learn a lot and benefit from it if he would apply what was in it. I played in college, am a Level 5 USA Hockey Coach and have taught the Level 1-3 clinics as well so I know a good resource when I read one. He and I liked your book because it is so practical and applicable to what a player can do immediately...not a lot of psychological or confusing mumbo jumbo I've read elsewhere. Thanks for a great book! It should be required reading for anyone trying to improve his or her game and get to the next level. It's very easy to read and apply. Since reading it my son has changed what he eats (truly a miracle in itself), how he keeps hydrated, his pre-game preparation routine(especially visualization) and he has also developed a routine after letting in a goal in order to clear his mind and get ready for the next shot. He finally realizes that there is so much more for him to do before he even hits the ice in order for him to be able to compete to the best of his ability. --Paul Murray, Hockey Dad and Level 5 USA Hockey Coach

Seven Pre-Game Habits of Pro Hockey Players is an insider s look at how to prepare to be your best. Brett Henning not only has access to the culture and preparation process of NHL players, but within this book reveals these secrets! If you are a hockey player or coach hockey players... you need to have this book in your library. --Ryan Walter --Asst. Coach of the Vancouver Canucks, Player 15-NHL seasons, Stanley Cup Winner, author, Motivational Speaker
