Pre-Soldered MPU6050
The MPU6050 is a versatile sensor for the DIY community because it is easy to use and integrate into projects. Due to its high accuracy and low power consumption, it has a wide range of applications, from controlling quadcopters to building self-balancing robots.
Even better, this product is ready to be plugged in since it already has soldered pins. You do not have to worry about dealing with soldering if you do not have the equipment, want to save time, simply do not enjoy doing it, or do not want kids playing around with soldering irons which can be dangerous.
Pins
- Vcc: This pin is used for Supply Voltage. Its input voltage is +3 to +5V.
- GND: This pin is used for ground.
- SCL: This pin is used for clock pulse for I2C communication.
- SDA: This pin is used for transferring data through I2C communication.
- Auxiliary Serial Data (XDA): It can be used for other interfaced other I2C modules with MPU6050.
- Auxiliary Serial Clock (XCL): It can also be used for other interfaced other I2C modules with MPU6050.
- AD0: If more than one MPU6050 is used for a single MCU, then this pin can be used to vary the address.
- Interrupt (INT): This pin is used to indicate that data is available for MCU to read.

I tested the module's basic functionality, using an Arduino and Raspberry Pi Pico and the Adafruit libraries and sample code, and they worked perfectly (viewing via serial monitor). They were packaged in a proper anti-static bag, but overall the package is subpar and does not protect pins well, hence minus one star.
The modules come without any documentation, but there is plenty of reference data and tutorials on the Web, so using it won't be a problem even for a beginner.
This MPU-6050 has a 3-axis accelerometer, and a 3-axis gyroscope so you can detect changes of both speed and direction. It also has on-board temperature sensor, Digital Motion Processor (DMP) and can read from external magnetometer.
I like that you can choose from 4 different ranges (+/-250, +/-500, +/-1000, +/-2000 degrees/second).
There is also tap detection, user programmable interrupts and high-G interrupt.
There are examples on-line to explain how to code for the MPU-650. I was able to get a demo running pretty quickly using the available code. I now have a project in mind to collect data from an RC car.
