This steak actually makes my children and I feel happy. I notice every time we eat it my son is happy. He is non verbal but I can tell he is happy by his smile. I also feel happy after about twenty minutes of consuming. My daughter also is less grumpy which is normal for her. She's naturally grumpy. So I started buying this steak multiple times a month.

So far, my experience has been that the beef is tough and too hard to work with, which is why I had been sticking with lean, ground, grass-fed beef. But I wanted to make stew, and this steak seemed like it might be a successful choice. I hit the jackpot! There was so little fat I needed to cut off that I was able to use almost the entire steak. It made a great stew! Now I have a meat to go to for stroganoff, stew, or fajitas. I'm still a little nervous to try it as just a steak with mushrooms, but the reviews here will likely lead me to try it that way, too.

Update: as you can see below, I loved these and had continued to buy them weekly but recently in my last 2 or 3 orders I've hardly been able to get through a bite without hitting really tough silver skin. It's making them really tough to enjoy, super sad that the quality seems to be declining.

These steaks are awesome, I tried them for the first time and will continue to purchase from now on. They were super tender and flavorful. I don't understand the reviews around "bloodiness" in the package, it's meat, there always is blood. In typical supermarket packs they have something to absorb that in the package and these don't, that's fine, just pat them dry. Buy these!

A word of caution for anyone trying PRE Top Sirloin for the first time...expect to be hooked.

I had all but cut out red meat from my diet, yet here I am, jonesing for it like a drug addict all because I tried PRE. The top sirloin is tender and might be more flavorful than the PRE filet mignon, which sucks because the filet mignon was full of flavor and with the top sirloin being so affordable, it makes it really that much harder to resist.

I've dated quite a few guys who were steak addicts and who dragged me to one steakhouse or another to try some dry aged something or another and nothing I have ever eaten at any of those places was half as good as this top sirloin which I simply cracked fresh peppercorn over and then pan seared. Start to finish, I can have better than restaurant quality steak in under 20 minutes.

So thanks to PRE I'm now hooked on red meat (which is weird because I'm usually the oddball in a steakhouse ordering salmon) and it's so good that not only do I not have the willpower to stop eating their beef, I don't want to have the willpower to stop eating it.

I tend to feel incredibly lethargic and listless at a certain time of the month and supplements had zero effect. I don't know if it's the combination of high protein and high Omega 3's or if there's some other factor, but a serving of he PRE steak gave me a much bigger boost that a shot of B12. It was like taking a 4 Hour Energy minus the heart palpitations. Another reviewer had said she was feeling rundown due to breastfeeding and the PRE steak did wonders for her. I definitely believe that claim because it did the same thing for me and I had been taking doctor recommended prenatal vitamins to get my energy and iron stores up. Could have saved myself a lot of trouble had I found out about PRE before Amazon Fresh introduced me to it. One would have thought all the wild caught Alaskan salmon I'd been scarfing down would have done the trick, but it took PRE for me to feel a noticeable difference.

This is seriously a tender, juicy, lovely cut of meat! It seems pricey, but I guarantee you it is worth it! Get this and cook it like you would a filet mignon (pan sear with a bit of oil, finish in oven, add butter- a sprig of rosemary or thyme and baste for the last 3 min of cooking) and those you serve it to would be none the wiser!
