Carrots - 2-3 pounds
Garlic - 5-7 cloves
Olive Oil - 1/3 of the cup
Vinegar - 1 tea spoon
Lemon juice from 2 lemons
Coriander or curry mix - 1-2 tea spoons
Sea Salt - 1 tea spoon
Wash, peel and then slice carrots. Warm your your olive oil with vinegar until vinegar start to bubble, remove from the heat. Press garlic to the carrot, add spices and pour warm oil on top. Mix all of the ingredients. Leave for couple of hours to marinate (not necessary in the refrigerator ). Enjoy!
Those complaining of it getting clogged, I am at a loss. While there is certainly vegetable material in the slots while using it, I simply ignore that and keep going. Even if there are big pieces. It does not block or hinder function and clearing between swipes is a silly waste of time. You will understand what I mean when you try it.
On the topic of veggie noodles. This was the reason I bought it and this was the first time I ever made veggie noodles. I was a skeptic but bought it anyway. In my mind pasta sauce and zucchini noodles would taste like a deconstructed ratatouille. Since I love ratatouille I didn't care. But I was wrong. It tastes like pasta. Only fresher and lighter and much healthier. I can finish a big plate of 'pasta' and not feel overfilled. High fiber and water instead of heavy dough. It's a no brainer. Now if I can just figure out how to make veggie noodle ravioli
I also used the regular peeling side to test it out and was very impressed! I've used quite a few peelers before (nothing fancy) and I think that this may be my favorite straight-edge peeler of all time!
I found the peeler comfortable to use and had no problems with having food stuck in the peeler; all I had to do was run the blades through water and everything came out.
Clean up is pretty simple, hold under running water. Dry carefully; the steel has a tendency to rust. If you get vegetables stuck in the teeth, a handy way to clean this is with a cheap toothbrush, bought specifically for cleaning jobs and which I keep in the drawer next to the sink.
Some warnings; this thing is sharp. Very sharp. So you have to find a way to hold your potato or zucchini so you don't slip and cut a finger. A fork poked into the end of the potato can help. Then you can rotate the fork around as you run the peeler down the sides. A good pair of serrated tongs might also help, or one of those mesh gloves for knife work. I'm sometimes clumsy--so I know I have to watch it with sharp things.
