I really want them to make another predator movie. But they need to fire the 8 year old who wrote this script, then fire the 10 year old director, then fire the 12 year old producer, and lastly fire the studio that allowed this to be made. I hope heads rolled after this movie was made, it was utterly one of the worst things I have ever watched, and I watch crap Sci-fi every week. For instance, the movie predators with Adrien Brody, that is a 5 star oscar contending movie compared to this. So many good actors, just the worst direction ever...

My favorite part of the entire movie was at the very end of the credits and I began to realize that my life was once again my own, and that whatever new pain I might experience at some point, at least THIS specific painful experience was, at last, over.

Was a poor revival of the original for a start... but then they cram "climate change" down the pipe. The whole point of a movie like this is to just accept that it is fun and silly. Sorry but the politics ruined it.
For the life of me I will never understand why so many people get themselves all worked up for the next "Predator" movie then turn around and hate it. These haters seem to think the next movie is going to win an Oscar. Really? A Predator movie? They are slasher/horror flicks nothing more. You go to see humans get ripped to shreds. PERIOD! As for the movie I only wanted to know more about the Predator species and I got quite a bit. I was very satisfied with that aspect. I did find it strange that the predator species is just waiting for humanity to destroy itself when they can just get rid of us at will. The action sequences are vastly superior to any of the movies that came before and I am looking forward to playing this movie on my surround sound system. Ok. I'm done...

I felt Predator was a very entertaining blockbuster film.
This film has a more humorous bent than the previous one. I really did like Predators, but I prefer the tone of this film. It matches more of the over-the-top feel of the original and 2. They do add a few more jokes than those two, and a little too many of them have a frat bro/trying-to-be alpha dog mentality that can be a little exhausting. Still overall, it's pretty funny.
There are some really impressive and violent fights. Current film technology is utilized to have the Predators do things they couldn't in previous films.
The cast is all-around likable. Heck, I think this is the first time I found Olivia Munn fully utilized in a film.
Admittedly, the pacing can be a little uneven at moments. There are points where the back-and-forth between characters could've been shorter and the scenes are rushed, including a death of a main character that's hit-and-miss. Also, the final scene setting up the sequel feels tacked-on and inorganic.
Listen, if you're not interested in a humorous Predator film than this won't be for you. Personally, I went to be mindlessly entertained, and I was.

Don’t understand most of these negative reviews! Yes it’s clearly not a remake of Predator 1 & 2, it’s a continuation and a more modern addition to the Predator story. I have seen them all and this is by far my favourite, yes I even preferred this over the Arnie one. My daughter, who had never seen the first ones, loved this too. It was well acted, great script, bigger and badder predators, the predator dogs were brilliant, great humour, what’s not to like?! (Personally loved the idea of the Aspergers kid being more evolved, as someone with two kids on the spectrum this was a great addition and rarely seen in movies) 10/10 for me :)

The story tells of how after a alien-craft crash lands it''s occupant is disabled by McKenna after several of his team had been killed by it is then taken to a lab for investigation. Somewhile later while on a bus in the military facility the killing machine/predator is seen by McKenna and a group of military prisoners escaping with biologist Casey in vain pursuit......with the alien on the loose with it's murderous intent it will fall upon the group of misfits to try and stop the creature. Meanwhile Rory, Mckenna's young son had opened a parcel his father had sent home to himself containing high-tech belongings of the alien he'd disabled.....inadvertently the youngster triggers a signal which is picked-up in far-off space by another member the alien species........the creature which is even bigger and more powerful is on it's way..........can the group of misfits led by McKenna along with Casey prevent disastrous consequences ? Have to say, there have indeed been a few spin-offs, mostly watchable to the 1987 'Arnie' classic and indeed Danny Glover's 1990 follow-up.......sadly this, for me is far and away the worst. Though there are some good visual sequences, have to say in my view, the script, muddled story-line and indeed in the main the under-par acting make this very difficult to sit through..............wish i'd not bought it ....give it a miss.

The 4K ULTRA HD Blu Ray disc version of this film has greatly improved sound and picture quality over the standard Blu Ray disc version when played through a 4K ULTRA HD Blu Ray player and a 4K ULTRA HD TV with HDR (High Dynamic Range).I would have also of liked a The Predator Blu Ray 3d disc released as well as this was released in cinemas in a 3D option.A Blu Ray 3D disc version was not released anywhere in the world so it cannot even be imported from elsewhere,Annoying!!!
2.0 out of 5 starsNo Classic, but better than AvP Requeim.

As everybody rightly says the editing is garbage. For a major franchise reboot, this is'nt good enough,&,as such this relatively short film, is disjointed & quite rushed. Some of the acting by 1 or 2 of the cast is clichéd drivel,at best. The plot,is, even by this genre, utter, utter claptrap also....but if I wanted Schindler's List,I would have watched Schindler's List. Mercifully, there's plenty, plenty of gruesome action, which is very welcome & this film offers even possible sequel opportunities. However,as this basically is the weakest of the stand alone Predator films,in my opinion, & not very good in truth, I would be inclined to make a prequel a la Prometheus,if this franchise is to continue.
