This was not the typical werewolf tale. We especially loved the female heroine, Bree. Predator also had some new topics/ideas that my family found fascinating. The bog bodies were a unique type of remains, it was a fresh idea and the details quickly drew us into the story. We also especially liked the idea that werewolves can control and remember their actions.
We are hoping to see how Bree's life is changed, now that she's a werewolf. Can she continue her relationship with Liam? What will she will do in the future to help fight the mutated soldiers?
Predator was an excellent book for my highschool girls, but I also really enjoyed it! Looking forward to reading a sequel soon!
Its sharp contrast with the title piqued my curiosity.
I read the synopsis, and it grabbed my attention.
Mystery and Intrigue. Action and Suspense. Science and Folklore.
'Predator' has it all!
Part 'Nancy Drew' mystery and part Alfred Hitchcock thriller, Janice Gable Bashman has written a tale that takes me back to my youth - when reading was lite and fun; the main characters, young and fresh.
The book is intended for teens, but adults will certainly enjoy it as well.
The plot is mostly singular, but with enough twists and turns to keep a reader's interest. It is fast paced, but doesn't miss on the details. And the characters are easily identified with and related to. They develop well over the course of events.
Bashman's 'Predator' is a great read for a quiet weekend at the beach or in the mountains.
The cliffhanger at the end almost certainly promises a sequel will follow. I, for one, am looking forward to it.
This book is basically non-stop action which is never a bad thing. There were some minor plot holes, but the action I was talking about a sentence ago? It keeps you reading because you have to see what happens next. I loved Bree. She is smart and talented, a little rash but willing to go to any lengths to get things accomplished. Liam I was pretty unsure of in the beginning, but I ended up truly liking him as the book went on.
The author truly impressed me with her lore, and the research that must have went into every aspect of this story. Her writing is good. She knows how to move a story along, no doubt about it.
Predator is a fast-paced read that will have you turning pages as fast as you can to see what is going to happen next. Go into this story remembering that it is a story and that everything doesn't have to be completely believable to be absolutely enjoyable and you will have a great time with this book!
Fans of werewolf stories will get a different fill, a different and unique story with Predator and they won’t be disappointed.
