About the Author
Charles E. Gaudet II is the CEO of Predictable Profits, a leading marketing, coaching, and consulting company specializing in helping small businesses grow and become leaders in their markets.
Charlie has been an entrepreneur since the young age of four when he sold artwork to his neighbors. Year after year, his entrepreneurial journey gained traction. His business ventures ranged from establishing a bathroom tollbooth at his parents home (which they shockingly agreed to play along with) to creating an angel-financed pet health insurance company (which was nominated One of the "Nation's Best Seed-Stage Companies" by accounting giant Ernst & Young) to a multimillion-dollar real estate development company and many others.
Today, Charlie's advice has appeared in media throughout the world including Fox Business, Inc., Forbes, and Business Insider, plus he has spoken to both domestic and international audiences. He was selected as one of The American Genius Beat's "Top 50 Influencers". On occasion, his kids even take his advice.
Charlie is a three-time wrestling state champion, an avid CrossFit athlete and competitor, and a wake boarder. But this book is the best I've seen from Charles. He should be very proud of what he has accomplished.
The single most valuable take away bite for me was the "Value proposition." I put it to use today!
Next, the many, many, concrete, real life, examples of what others have done will be able to be mined for their value, and returned to again and again.
After reading thes book many will never, ever, ever, ever, compete on the basis of price. And Charles explains why in detail.
Charles might shock you with his posting titled: "The Dangers of Being 'Good' (and why it's okay to sleep with your customers!)"
Before you run off with the wrong idea here's Charles' explanation:
"That's right!--I sleep with every one of my customers. I go to bed with men/women--hey, I don't discriminate--and I suggest you do as well.
I go to bed with every one of my cusomers on my mind and ask myself: 'What can I do to provide my customers with a greater benefit and advantage to help them get closer to the ultimate result they are after?' "
Highly Recommended! The best book on the subject in a long time, and I've read quite a few.
Charles shares a number of concepts, backs them up with how real companies use these concepts, and then walks you through the exercises.
I'm writing this review as I go through the first 50 pages of his book, and go through some of his approach to creating a value proposition. In the Predictable Profits lingo, the "Unique Advantage Proposition".
While he shares processes that could be far more hyped, his real world examples allow you to get over the "hump" of trusting yet another "expert".
I highly recommend the Predictable Profits playbook, and that you implement it in your business.

The book is very much in the vein of other classic marketing works from people such as Dan Kennedy, Jay Abraham and Gary Halbert. But Charles positions himself uniquely with his consistent emphasis on as he puts it "helping your customer to achieve the ultimate result". Its clear that he believes business needs to have a purpose in order to be termed truly successful.
Some of the key takeaways for me where the importance of a developing a multi-channel approach to marketing and not relying on just email or direct mail but rather combining the two to maximize sales.
Charles also stresses the importance of establishing yourself as the go-to person in your niche by becoming a market leader. He gives clear blueprint of how you can get media attention for you and your business.
Charles Gaudet is a marketer who "walk the walk" and doesn't just "talk the talk". As you will see when you pick up a copy of his book he has produced some impressive results for his own businesses and for the clients that he works with. I recommend any entrepreneur, offline or on, to do themselves a favor and get a copy of Charles playbook.
Finding and serving your niche • When to say “no” • Identifying Your “Unique Advantage Point” • Getting the message out via Social Media, a blog and/or a book • The secrets of branding, direct marketing, publicity, P.R. and promotion • Strategies for pricing (and raising prices) • Creating long-term customer relationships • And ultimately becoming dominant in your field.
Thirty years ago I started a niche business and sold it. It is still generating revenue today. If I had had Charles Gaudet as my guide way back then I would be very rich today. Don’t miss this.
