SO YES - they are VERY COMFORTABLE. Comfort Plus is ALL I will ever buy when it comes to heels. As Claire - I am RUNNING in these during the Cons... walking until he suits up as the T-Rex, and then the running ensues. So they must be comfortable! =D
They are nicely padded, the toe-box is big enough for comfort, and they don't fall off. Good sized heel, too. I have high arches and these support them, too, very nicely. =D
I do also wear them for business related meetings and stuff, so they would work for 'normal wear', in case you don't want a T-Rex to chase you.
Including a picture of my husband (my beloved T-Rex) chasing me at our most recent Con. People have asked, "how in the heck do you run in those?"... my reply is, "they are so comfortable, I prefer the heels over my running shoes..." (gotta stay in character when you are cosplaying, you know... =D
This shoe is great off the shelf. Five stars for looks, comfort, and heel height. It fit perfectly right away and I was impressed. I have moderate bunions on both my feet and usually I have to do some procedure where I stretch them at the big toe joint. No need with this shoe. The lining eliminates any rubbing issues I normally have with other heels. The styling is slim not clunky, and walking in them is very easy.
On to the bad. This shoe is plastic. Not only plastic, but thin plastic. I have worn this heel to work at my office job on only 4 separate occasions. Already there is a long scratch across the toe, scuffs at the back, scratches in the middle near the arch, and a dent with scratch on the heel. I have these in plain black. The outer material is very thin and covers a base layer of white plastic, the meat of the material. Every scratch shows white through in a very obvious way. I have touched them up with a sharpie 3 times today, two spots you can see in my photos. The heel is wrapped in the same material as the upper, meaning any time you walk on gravel, step in a sidewalk crack, or drive a car, you run the risk of tearing up the heel.
If you plan to wear these for a special occasion, great. If you plan to actually wear them in regular life then don't expect much. I would not expect more than a season out of these shoes, and per my mileage only a handful of wears. This explains why other reviewers have a pair in every color - less wears per pair. I have asked myself how many cheap shoes do I need to toss prematurely to realize that it's worth it to get a nicer pair of shoes that will last me two years or more with proper care and maintenance. I intend to purchase a pair of cole haan pumps to replace these. On sale just under $100 vs three pairs of cheap shoes, in the end, is cheap really the better deal? I would say no.
I wear medium width because my foot is neither too wide, nor to slender. However, with a medium fit, I get to add an insole and voila, problem solved. But these shoes are just a perfect fit for MY feet.
