Beware of the faulty product and scam!!
I received this few hours ago. Was so excited to use this. There was strong chemical/plastic burning kinda smell from plastic bags in which some of the items were wrapped. Found the mid size jar with broken motor coupler. The shipment included four spare couplers. The hex nut on mixer blade dis not look like it is made of stainless steel for two of the jars. The smallest ones looked like stainless steel. Also the blades looked like used and there were black marks in the jar. Very much disappointed.

Noisy Mixer Grinder - Not worth the hype.

This is a noisier and expensive version of the Indian Preethi mixer grinder. The steel casing and the led knob lights looks fancy and is easy to clean. The grinder is heavy and sits well.

Part of the reason for noise is probably its blunt blades which also requires higher cycle time.

The jar quality is good but larger jars do not have lid-locks, which essentially means you have to keep the lid closed with your hand all the time. The grinder vibrates a lot so if you take your hands off, the lid will fly away.

Its an irony, that the company advertises a safety lock for the jar to operate the grinder. Essentially there is push button which needs to press for the grinder to activate but there is no lock for the jars. Probably users are not at risk from things flying from within the jar :)

Lets see if this one last long, as with the amount of noise and vibration, I doubt the plastic housing will hold the motor for long.

I was slightly worried before ordering this item because of all the bad reviews. I chose to order it from Amazon even though the Amazon market place had a few sellers listing the item at a slightly lower price. I knew that if there was any problem with the product Amazon would back me up. I am delighted to say that the item works great! I have used it for about a month now with no problems. The grinder handles all sorts of heavy grinding job with ease!

Compared to other mixi, this is way easier to clean.. looks very pretty on kitchen counter.. highly recommend this item, wont be disappointed if you are using it for preparing Indian cuisine..

Update after a year:
I use this mixer grinder at least 3 to 4 times a day to prepare food for my toddler. Once I had left a steel spoon inside the jar and turned it on. To my surprise, just the Coupler was broken. Replaced the Coupler for 7 bucks. Other than that it all works just fantastic. Highly recommend!

Ordered a new one but got a used one. I had heard this kind of incidents from my friends, however, I thought I'll take chance what are the odds of that happening to me. Apparently it happens all the time I guess. Very unhappy. The body of the blender has dents all four sides. The blender jars have been used which clearly is visible from the water mark being wiped out. The smallest jar base is roughed around edges. I should have got it from India while I had a chance.

Not value for money

Like: Unlike the usual Indian mixers, knob for turning it on and controlling speeds is big and in the Center of the base. Powerful motor. 3 jars are very helpful.

Dislike:
- Takes multiple tries to turn it on as base doesn’t sit properly right away.
- the jar lids don’t sit tight and the gaskets have already started sagging even though I only hand wash them.
- on of the steel jars already started cracking. I purchased it in Dec 2019.
- I have used other Preeti mixers in the past on India but never had these issues with lid flying away if you don’t hold it tights.
- Trusting the brand, I spent more to get this model as I had issues with control knob being small and at bottom on previous models.

This is working good....but handle is broken

I cook a lot and this works great.
I bought my previous Preethi Mixer from India 12 years ago and it is still working fine. Motor is still working good. But the Jars became very old and the plastic from the jar bottom is peeling off. Other than that everything is still working good. I do not like to use the containers with some plastic peeling off. So I went and bought this one again.
This looks great and also working as expected.

After using thing for couple of months, even though I was handling it carefully, small jar handle got broken.
So reduced my rating from 5 to 3.

Really bad product. I brought this end of Dec, 2015 and broke down -- the blades inside the jar came off by Apr, 2016. It is a lightly used product.
I called Canopy Protection service ( Insurance that I had paid for) and they claimed that the product is still under warranty and I should contact the manufacturer. I went to Preethi's site and let them know about the problem along with all purchase details and I have not been contacted by them at all.

Bottom Line : This is a very poor quality product, the canopy insurance does not help you and after sales support is non-existent. I would advise people to stay away from it.

I had to buy this product as my wife was adamant on Indian mixer, She had this feeling that the Canadian mixer are not blending properly, This was almost 200 CAD. Actual worth of this mixer should not more than 75 Dollars. The plastic is so bad. There is Jar for which the handle is shaking because screw was not fixed properly and we cannot tighten the screw because it has gone inside the plastic which was suppose to hold it. The Jar is a Manufacturing defect. Now it is so painful to return as i need to go to canada post and send it for return and wait for few days for refund and again search for another mixer, so we are leaving with it. I suggest people think thrice before you buy Preeti mixer. Dont get carried away try all the canadian mixer and still you need then think it.

The product is quite rugged and effective for dry and wet grinding.The grinding and blending operations are quickly completed.
Drawbacks are excessive noise and difficulties in unlatching jars from the mixie after use.

For all the 3 jars, the rubbers won't fit right on the jar cap, also the cap doesn't fit to the jar perfectly, due to still there will be spill out of the jar with almost any thing i try to grind.
The jar locking mechanism they have makes this a horrible machine, i have to tilt and hold the jar to make that delicate thing to lock the jar ,else the machine wont operate. After i remove the jar, this thing doesn't pull out by itself. I have to manually pull it out.

I was in for disappointment, since there is nothing "Nitro" about this product and here's why:

1.Terrible quality of plastic/fiber used. Lid/Jar is very flimsy. The wire cord looks like it has just been replaced by an electrician to suit Canadian/US markets. The lids are so tight which makes it difficult to open and close while grinding, you have to literally fight with it!

2.Makes so much noise (twice as much as a vacuum cleaner) that may scare your neighbours. Having said that, the contents inside the jar take a very long time to grind, even for something as easy as chutney . The blades are useless!

3.Out of the 3 jars, the smallest one which comes exclusively for making Chutney is the only one that is slightly better from among the two however the "grind and store" mechanism suggested DOES not work! If the "Grind and store" jar is used to make chutney , you will take forever to make a small batch! Also the quality of the grind and store jar is pathetic, cheap plastic material!

3.Total waste of money for something as cheap as this one and would never recommend this product!
