Then recently I noticed the $30 JBuds J2 and was particularly fond of the new orange color. I first tried the J2 buds in my Sangean WR-2, listening to classical and rock, turning up the volume as high as I could without damaging my ears. The sound was full and well balanced. How would they compare against my trusty V-Moda buds?
There was no comparison: The JBuds J2 buds were warmer, fuller and, ironically, had more bass than the V-Moda "Bass Frequency" buds. These latter buds sounded tinny with too much high end compared to the balanced JBuds J2 buds. My wife was nearby. She did the same comparison and agreed that the JBuds J2s are markedly better.
This is a no-brainer. Spend the extra $5 and get the J2s. They come in several colors. I like mine in orange.
These Jbuds fit in my ears, seal easily and comfortably and the sound quality is excellent. I like clear mids & highs with a good solid bass... these have that. The Klipsch would never seal properly in my right ear... The shape of their bud has an arm that extends and is arc'd forward. No matter what I did, no matter which rubber tip I used, no way could I get it to seal in my ear. It was quite a premium price for a set of earbuds that I really couldn't use.
So I went back to this set and it was light night and day.... don't spend more, these are great ear buds.
I re-bought the set because I liked them so much. I thought they were better than my wifes Skullcandy Smokin buds.
Good price too!

Poor sound quality (not that I expect much from cheap earbuds, but even for that!), not that comfortable, and died on me real fast. Ehhhh.Published 8 months ago by Chelsea A.
I save these for long airline flights. They are good, but I have not done any serious tests. They seem OK.Published on June 14, 2014 by David Alegria
Just what I wanted and needed. They are comfortable and it was fun to be able to pick a color instead of something plain.Published on November 13, 2013 by Rayleene
They let you focus on what your listening to and nothing else. It's wonderful on a walk. Or in the officePublished on August 5, 2013 by ging
It looks nice and is eyepopping. I'd say its actually Orangered rather than red. The quality feels like a 6/10 but than again, you get what you pay for. Read morePublished on July 22, 2013 by mic
The red color is a little different that it is in the pictures, but they are still very nice and distinctive headphones.
Sound is good and comes with three sizes of ear piece.
The ear buds are great for the gym or on the plane prior to putting on the nois-cancelling bose. Useful.Published on April 13, 2013 by scotsirishtexan
