The J2buds come with 3 different sets of rubber ear pieces to put on the earbud itself for people with smaller or bigger ears. I'm using the smallest one right now. I really had to stick these things in my ears to get them to stay.
PROS :
' Good Bass.
' Durable.
' Stylish.
' Noise-Canceling (From what I heard, it's not as good as others, but it still does the job)
' unbeatable price.
' Many Many colors to choose from.
CONS :
* My ears hurt after a couple hours of listening.
* Cord might be a little bit shorter than some other brands.
* Flicking the cord when listening produces a "thump" now this will probably happen on most earbuds but I'm just putting it out there.
That's all the cons guys, the Pros totally outweigh the Cons!
I highly recommend buying a pair of these, the price is just unbeatable!
!! UPDATE 8/6/10 !! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Okay so I've had these for a while now and I was actually thinking of buying another pair since the price has gone down to only $15!!
Also, fitting the Jbuds into my ear is no longer a problem. When I first got these I had some trouble but now they fit comfortably. The only trouble now is that my ear start to hurt after wearing these for a couple hours. But still, overall, great earbuds! If you have the stock earbuds that came with your mp3 player or ipod, I extremely recommend these.

!! UPDATE 6/2/11 !!
Okay, its been almost a year now and I still use these ear buds. I like these a lot not only because they are stylish but they also sound exceptional. The wires seem strong enough and they don't get tangled easily but my brother kept playing with it. Eventually, the wiring went bad on my old pair and with the 1-year warranty included with my first pair, I contacted JLabs and they sent me another pair promptly.
I just ordered my 7th pair today. I only have a pair for myself but the others are all for friends and relatives. I still use my Sennheiser cx300's because they are so comfortable. Don't get me wrong, the J2's are comfortable, but they seems clunky and over-sized sometimes. I just wished they had a small model that looked similar. Overall, if you are looking for a nice pair of ear buds, I recommend the J2's.
*Note: This will most likely be my final "updated" review for this item because I feel like I've discussed everything that I've wanted to. If anything arises I'll be sure to update again.
Thanks for reading,
Frank
The build quality and comfort for these sub-$15 earbuds is great. However, the sound leaves more to be desired.
I never considered myself to be an audiophile, even though my music collection is all in 320kb/s MP3 files or better (FLAC, mostly). I just have all my music like that because I figure it's future-proofing. I have a lower-midrange set of speakers for my MacBook Pro right now - the Logitech's Z-2300's - so when I have enough money to get something high-end, I'm sure I'll be thanking my past self for having high-quality music. Logitech Z-2300 THX-Certified 200-Watt 2.1 Speaker System (Silver)
I've also owned a pair of shure e2c earbuds, these Jbuds are actually a replacement for them, because the shures got water damaged (don't wear them for working out!). Shure E2c Sound Isolating Earphones
Having what I would call a moderate range of music and music technology experience, I can definitely say that the JBuds have the worst quality out of the whole bunch. That's not surprising - Shures are built for quality and it's common sense that the much larger speakers would be able to deliver a better sounding experience. However, the change is more than noticeable. After getting the JBuds in the mail, I turned on iTunes and put it on shuffle. The first song that come on, Fantasia in D Minor, sounded normal on my Z-2300's. The highs, mids, and lows for me were distinct and nothing sounded off. When I plugged in the JBuds though, the highs were squeaky. Whenever there were lots of high notes strung together in rapid succession (about half the song) I actually heard some static or shaking of some sort in my ears. I never heard anything like that on my Shures.
I played a few more songs and noticed the same thing, these JBuds really don't reproduce high notes that well.
Now, does this really matter? For a pair of $15 earbuds, I think it doesn't. These earbuds are superior to the standard ones that come with iPods or Zunes, so this little investment will have your ears jumping with joy.
If, like me, you find yourself turning into something of an audiophile, I would definitely recommend purchasing a pair of Shure's or another higher-quality earbud. Personally, I feel the need to get something over $100 a little ridiculous, so I'll probably get my old E2C's again, but your mileage may vary.
Pros:
Cheap
Solidly built
Good range of sound
Good at Isolating outside noise
Cons:
Not the best at reproducing highs
Don't stand up to higher-quality earbuds like E2C's from Shure
Final Say:
For 70% of the people looking at these earbuds, I think you'll have no problem with them at all.
10% may want something better but figure the price is low enough to justify staying with them.
20% will want something that more expensive and higher-quality earbuds provide, like superior noise cancellation and sound reproduction.
I was excited to spend the extra cash to get the updated JBuds, in the hopes that they would last longer and have better sound quality. I was wrong. First, you need to know that the jack is straight, not L-shaped like the original JBuds. This means you will be bending that connection all the time on your mp3-player, ultimately resulting in a short in the connection and a shortened lifespan for the earbuds.
I compared the sound quality of the J2s with the originals (playing from the same ipod with one in each ear) and found the J2s use a little cleared treble, but no other difference. In my opinion, this is not worth the increase in price. What is worse, the J2s don't reduce as much outside noise as the originals. They use a much more flimsy plastic for the earpiece which doesn't isolate sound very well.
Lastly, the poor connection. While the J2 works fine in my ipod 5.5 Gen, the connection is weak and constantly goes in and out on my ipod touch 2nd Gen, which already has a poor headphone jack. Do not get these for your ipod touch 2nd Gen!

Good listening,

Very disappointed in these earbuds. PL
I have had these headphones for two weeks and after dropping them for the first time today the ear bud on the left side completely split apart. Not impressed with the sound either, would not recommend.
