- They are compact and easy to pack.
- They're extremely sturdy -- not a flimsy, malleable plastic that would collapse while you're using it. You'd have to put some force on it to collapse it back down.
- They're dishwasher safe.
- As other reviewers have mentioned, the lids need improvement. They are not airtight. I wouldn't use them for transporting any liquids.
If you're looking for travel bowls for you or your pet or even a container to store solid foods, you'll love this set! If you're looking for general purpose containers to store and transport food, you might want to wait for a model with an improved lid design.
What is there to love? These bowls actually stand up. Unlike other collapsable bowls that will not stand up and end up causing spills and ruined food; they actually do stand up. They are easy to fold down to. The lids fit very well.
Then came taco night :-( I made beef tacos and had left-over, seasoned taco meat. I put the meat in the blue, mid-sized container. It was in the fridge for only a couple of days. When I tried to clean the bowl, the taco smell will not come out. Worst than that; there is an orange, brownish ring around the inside. No amount of scrubbing will get rid of it. Bummer!
Bottom line value question to ask yourself: Do you value more storage space? Or, do I want to spend more time putting the top on &/or cleaning the mess it makes if you are not very careful when closing?
I decided I always have too much to do to spend the extra time needed on something like this. Nesting bowls are a far better idea.
