I gave it four stars because as a book geared for little kids, I think the pictures (especially the hands) should have been larger and more colorful, as color is a big deal in preschool books. It would have been perfect if the images were geared more to the preschool age group.
They came over last night and in addition to other books, we read this one. This is our first experience with an interactive book. We were all pretty entertained by this approach and it was interesting to see my grandkids reactions to this method.
In observing my grandkids it was quite different than a typical picture book. Instead of observing them listening while they or one of the adults read the book they wanted control of this book and to be the decision makers. I think that is what the author is trying to accomplish and they were very successful. The kids were very engaged and are looking forward to more books of this type. I see this author, LL Kross, has several more books of this type. We will be purchasing more of their books as we exploit this learning approach with the grandkids.
Interesting approach. Well done.

This is a fun book that kids will enjoy. Each page shows a picture and you need to choose an answer, they could be counting shapes or recognition. Read morePublished on November 13, 2013 by Love Reading
Nice idea, but the requirement to read doesn't fit task. Some of the pics are outdated. It feels as if you need to choose an age range and cater to those skills.Published on March 6, 2013 by Susan Talley
