Alison had perfectly equaled (if not outdid) herself in her latest installment of the Perfrct series. Going inside Noah's head is a multiple times awesome!
When the book was first announced to be released, I thought that it will just be repetitive of the first, but no. Alison refreshed me and brings me back to the best feelings of reading Noah and Tweet's story for the first time last year landing it on one of my top books.
It was really nice to see Noah in a different light. He was still a guy who got urges and needs and might I just tell you as well that he is ten times hotter in Presently Perfect.
I cried a thousand tears, I fell in love over and over again. Alison has made an eternal love story that every reader will treasure. It will take a thousand years for me to forget Noah and Tweet.
Loved the epilogue! Who would've guessed to meet Brad Johnson again? And did I just smell a future Halle-Superman book?
Before starting this book I was looking at reviews, trying to gage whether or not I could handle seeing this heartbreaking story from another POV. All the reviews were raving about how the story was original and I was thinking there is no way, this is the same story just from another POV. I am not a huge fan of a repeat story in the other characters POV, but I am not against reading them if I truly loved the original story. However, if you have read the Present Perfect then you know it is a difficult read the first time around, so going back in I was a pretty concerned.
For those of you who have never read Present Perfect it is the story of a boy and girl who grow up together. They were born the on the same day, and haven’t known what life would be like without the other.
"I love all of it because I love all of you. There hasn’t been a day in my life that I haven’t and there never will be.”
Noah and Amanda (Tweet) have shared all their firsts together and he has always been the perfect guy in Amanda’s eyes. Now we get to see how Noah sees himself and Tweet.
Seeing a hormone driven Noah…not good lucy, not good. This was honestly the hardest part. See in Present Perfect when I was ready to kill Tweet, I still had my Mr. Perfect. In this one, there were moments where I wanted to kill them both. Now, I had to back up and realize two things: 1. they are fictional characters 2. they are high school students. I can still remember the stupid things I did in high school, so I had to cut them some slack.
Despite somethings being hard to read a second time around, it also made the sweet even better. See Noah and Tweet have to overcome so much for their happily ever after. Honestly, it feels like too much at times, but you have to remember the sweet is never sweet without the sour, and they know the sour.
Things I loved. I have loved seeing Noah’s feelings for Tweet and his acceptance of her. Now we knew he proclaimed his love for her constantly in Present Perfect, but trust me after reading this you will know what I am talking about. I love true love stories and this is a case of true love. The steam, yes Mr. Perfect has had a long time to think about what he wants to do with Tweet and she has been fantasizing about him for years, so when the connection is finally made it is perfection!
This is a beautiful story and honestly worth reading if you enjoyed the first one. I am not promising you won’t get frustrated and want to scream, but in the end I am so happy I gave this one a chance and read it.
So to go back to my first statement. I am being completely sincere when I tell you that this story somehow felt original. There were repeat scenes, but the extra scenes were perfect and made me think how I loved the first one without them.

WOW!! I was WRONG! Presently Perfect from Noah's POV~~~ WOW!! I cried! I hated Tweet for the hurt she gave him! I FELT his Hurt!!
My heart heart for Amanda "Tweet" AND then...... The ending... WOW
This book does have a Happy Ending!!! So Happy for that.. Thank you Alison G. Bailey for an Amazing Story!!
Back in August of 2013, I read Present Perfect after noticing it available for purchase on Amazon. This debut novel from Alison G. Bailey was so special for me that I named it one of my two favorite stand-alone novels of 2013. At the time, I was unaware the author would be expanding this novel into a series. Present Perfect is full of angst. It’s a friends to lovers story about Amanda Kelly (Tweet) and Noah Stewart. Bailey followed up Present Perfect with Past Imperfect, a novel about Brad Johnson, a secondary character from Present Perfect. Much to my surprise, earlier this year, I discovered Bailey was writing an alternate point of view novel about Noah and Tweet to finish out her Perfect series!
Present Perfect is told from Amanda’s point of view. In Present Perfect, we learn Amanda is consumed by feelings of worthlessness. Because she is obsessed with being perfect, she struggles to control every aspect of her life. Although Amanda is constantly plagued by insecurity and self-doubt, the one thing she is absolutely sure of is her love for Noah. Noah has always been a part of her life. He is her best friend, and she can’t imagine a life without him. But her feelings for Noah are changing. If she begins a romantic relationship with Noah, she fears that she will lose him. What if it ends badly? She questions how they could possibly remain in each other’s lives.
With Presently Perfect, we are now able to experience their story from Noah’s point of view. Presently Perfect is the ideal blend of new written material and scenes from Present Perfect that have now been written from an alternate point of view. Although we essentially have the same story, the content of this new novel adds so much depth to Tweet’s perception of events.
I remember when I read Present Perfect. I struggled to understand Noah’s motivations for his actions. What was he thinking when Tweet was pushing him away? Did he truly understand her struggle? Why did Noah make the choices that he did in Present Perfect? Was Noah considering Tweet’s feelings while he was dating other girls? I found it very interesting to learn the truth behind his relationships with Brittani in high school and Brooke in college.
The very best part of Presently Perfect is the new material found towards the end of the novel. There is now so much more to Noah and Tweet’s story. I cried tears while I was reading what happens between Noah and Tweet (beyond the end of the first novel). And I think Alison Bailey wrote the perfect epilogue for her series! I love this couple’s story. I really do. I have anticipated the release of Presently Perfect for several months, and I am excited to say this novel met my expectations! I am giving Presently Perfect a 4.5 star rating!
