Ahead of it's time and still applies even today. Great comedy-action flick with mystery, The President, White House, National Security,
and the competition between all the international agencies with acronyms instead the the real name or abbreviation.
Instead of FBI it was FBR and the profile of the "Agents" was so funny as there was some Truth to it as well.
As it were, I happen to have see this when I was about 14 and 7 years later I actually went to work in the real Secret Service.
Most movies do NOT show all the real life facts, but they were very close for it's day and time.
James Coburn was great then and later did Flint and other spy related movies which was the trend back then.
Either way, I have an extensive law enforcement background and I got a real kick out of this movie even though
it was all in fun, ...but so very close to real life.
