I have had many different versions of this game from different companies but this is my favorite. All of my kids, ages 16, 12, 9 and now 2 have had this game and loved it. Somewhere between number 3 son and our daughter being born we lost or sent this game off to the thrift store.
This version however is my favorite of all of them. All the other versions used magnets in the fish and in the fishing pole. In the previous games we owned the fishing pole was a piece of plastic with a magnet on the end. This version the pole is a 3 pieces of plastic and the end looks like a shuttle cock from badminton that grabs onto the teeth of the fish.
This game is easy enough that my 2 year old daughter doesn't get frustrated trying to play and I have found that even my 16, 12, and 9 year old children love to play it with her.
You must purchase one c battery to make the game operate. I've had this game a few months and haven't changed the battery at all.
This game comes with 2 yellow poles and 2 red poles.
Also, the fish have had many a bath with our daughter and the fishing poles have come into the bath tub too. The eyes are still on the fish and the poles haven't broken.
In my pictures I took a comparison picture of a pole from the travel version of this game. You can see the differences.
I was pleasantly surprised with how sturdy this game is and I'd highly recommend it over the other name brand one's out there.

Playing the Game
Fast-paced fun!
Place all 21 fish into the individual compartments in the pond, and turn the battery switch to the "on" position. The pond will rotate and the fish will open and close their mouths. You'll have to be reel-y quick to catch some fish!
Develops hand-eye coordination
As the game base rotates, players use their fishing poles to simultaneously try to catch as many fish as possible, one fish at a time. The player to catch the most fish wins!

Battery not included, but fun fun fun!

My fault for not checking before I bought this but the battery is not included, so make sure you buy the battery too unless you already have a C type (not AA) battery at home. I fortunately had extra batteries lying around or else we would have had a very disappointed child. This game is classic and simple and so much fun for the entire family! Its just as I remembered as a child. The quality of the wheel and plastic pieces seem to be good quality. The fishing poles are made of thin hard plastic with a sort of hook at the end and the fishes have teeth in their mouths where the hook attaches to the teeth. My 5 year old kept wanting to play this again and again. Then she started making up new rules to the game, like whoever gets all of one color wins. So many possibilities and all fun! I'm so glad to have found this game.

I have purchase a couple generic ones and they were not as amazing as this one. This is alot of fun for my kids. It comes with 4 fishing poles and 21 fish. The mouths open and close pretty fast so you have to be quick! My 3 year old has fun with this game as well as my 8 year old! Takes 1 C battery

Bastante lindo, entretenido, ayuda a la concentración, motricidad fina, divertido, respetar turnos. Para 4 jugadores, niños y adultos. Recomiendo el paquete recargable de pilas con los adaptadores que aparece en la foto ese lo conseguí en una tienda para poder ponerle pila ya que no es incluida. No sabía que existían adaptadores de pila tipo c, y les ayudará a estos juegos y otro tipo, ademas de que así no contaminamos para desechar las pilas vale la pena el gasto. Pensé que los peces tenían iman pero se sujetan muy bien al pescarlos, solo recomendaría a los proveedores a mejorar la calidad de las cañas de pescar ya que el plástico podría ser más resistente. En general muy bien y lo súper recomiendo.
