I cannot close the cooker fully ! It’s stuck , looks like the lid doesn’t fit well . I wonder how it passed the quality check ! I still have lentils inside the cooker , can’t open either , so how am I going to return it !

Metal safety valve broke out of lid within a week

I have been using Prestige Pressure Cookers since 10 years and have no major complaints. It has been the best pressure cooker brand in India. However, this new model came with a cheap quality metal safety valve that broke out of the cooker lid within a week after use. The cooker is not usable and no safety without the safety valve. Beware of buying the model.

The lid is very hard to close and needs some strength to close every time. Although the food gets cooked fine the cheap plastic in the handles gives off a bad and pungent smell that lingers a long time even after switching off.By B. Y. on December 3, 2020
