There are things that happened to the main character,Annequin, in this story that would be hard for anyone to forgive, but as in our real lives, God enables us to do what we on our own cannot do. There are a few family members in this story that if I was writing this story, I may have dismissed from Annequin's life, including her mother. But the author's intent seemed to be that no matter the injustice done, God's love can heal, and enable us to forgive. To really understand the depths of Annequin's forgiveness, and why it must have been so hard to do,the author had to show the suffering that this young girl endured. These events ultimately led her down a destructive path for a while before she found her way to God,and to a forgiving heart..There are many twists and turns involved, and definitely a few surprises to this book.
NOTE: I was give a copy of this book in exchange for a review. I was not required to give a favorable review. I'm glad I accepted the offer, and I hope the author will contact me again for the next book.I have a feeling from reading the epilogue that there may be a sequel at some point to this book(though it stands on it's own). I will be more than happy to find out more about Annequin.
