Anyways, great book. My advice would be just to eyeball the ingredient list and if it looks close to what you've been eating so far on your low carb diet, it's probably safe to make despite saying 20 carbs a serving.
Also good: Bacon Cheeseburger Soup, Cheddar Dill Biscuits (although we like to omit the Italian Seasoning), Loaded Cauliflower Casserole, and the Spicy Beef Queso Dip. I also liked the sauce a lot for the Lemon Garlic Pork Steaks with Mushrooms (just not a huge pork chop fan...so wonder if it would still be good on other meats?). There are several other things we've tried, and again they've all been good.
The title sums it up very well: "Low-carb comfort food". If this is what you are looking for, and appreciate simpler food to make that isn't tons of fancy ingredients and complicated procedures...then this book is for you.
There is a picture for every recipe (which is really important) and the book materials are very strong. I wouldn't be too concerned if I accidentally spilled/splashed something onto the pages. And the text is printed large enough to where you can read your recipe without having to drop what you're doing. This really makes this diet thing easier.
