I own both the Flavorstation 100 and Flavorstation 110. From afar, the two units look very similar. However, upon close inspection, the two machines only have a superficial resemblence to each other - and are quite different. It appears that the Flavorstation 100 had problems with it, and the Flavorstation 110 was released to correct all the problems of the 100 - but Primo still decided to withdraw from the soda maker market, allowing Sodastream to remain the only dominant force in the DIY soda market.

The only part that is the same between the 110 and the 100 is the CO2 tank - which is the same specifications as a 20 oz CO2 paintball canister. The bottle, caps, and cover for the CO2 compartment are different between the both machines. If someone already owns a 100 and buys a 110, they will be disappointed if they expected parts to be interchangeable. The 110 also stands slightly taller than the 100. The 100 has red color on the pressure release button - but the 110 is all gray,

I own two of the 100s and 3 of the 110s. Both 100s suffer from the release valve getting stuck open. The 100 also suffers because there is only one sized bottle available for it - and that is the 1/2 liter. Thankfully, the 110 can fit a larger 1 L bottle, but this has to be purchased separately.

The 110 uses a quicker bayonet mounting system that takes a 1/4 turn to attach the bottle. The 100 uses a screw system. The CO2 for the 110 mounts by screwing an included adapter onto the CO2 tank, then clipping the CO2 tank + adapter into the back of the machine. There are some metal and plastic parts in the interface - this is much better than the 100 that screws the tank directly into the machine and the 100 mounting interface is constructed from all plastic.

I researched all available options for making club soda at home and this seems to be the best (Sodastream is so expensive when you consider the co2 refill). I ended up buying 2 F110 since the price of an extra Co2 tank and water bottle is $40 and the whole product is $45. I found a local beer brewing store which will fill the Co2 bottles so having 2 should save some time. It is a good machine - easy to use and makes great club soda.

I refill the tanks at a local tri-gas supplier for $5.00 and they last about 4 months. The best deal!

Works great. I bought this from M&R Resellers through Amazon. It arrived in good condition and works well. I bought this to replace a model 120 Flavorstation that the metering device went bad on it. The old one wouldn't fully carbonate the soda.

The model 100 had some poor reviews but this model seemed to have good ones, so I bought the last one available on Amazon. (There are more available on the popular web auction sites.)

This model 110 used the same size gas bottle so I now have two extra gas bottles and an extra bottle adapter.

Be advised that this is a discontinued product. Parts are pretty much nonexistent. The warranty may be useless, too, because Primo no longer makes or sells them.

As of July 1, 2004 Primo is no longer selling bottles for this device on Amazon. This is a bigger issue than the CO2 canister being discontinued since it uses a standard 20 ounce paintball cylinder that you can refill for around $4 at a sporting goods store such as Dick's.

The bottles have an expiration date on them (I think it's three years after the manufacturing date) after which you're not supposed to use them because the pressurization can cause the bottle to catastrophically fail. Since the bottles have a proprietary mounting feature to attach to the Flavorstation if you can't get a bottle you can't use the machine.

The Flavorstation comes with a half liter bottle which is convenient for mixing up a small batch of flavored soda (SodaStream flavors are available everywhere) but eventually you may wish you had some liter bottles.

We really enjoy our Flavorstation but I will have to try to use the bottles past their expiration date and keep an eye out for cracks in the plastic.

If you have a BigLots store around, this model sells there for $15! That's where I bought mine and was happy with the purchase. This is not just an easy, push button, and there you have it machine. It takes some time to figure out the perfect soda. So far I have made cherry coke and peach tea and its pretty good. Its nice to be able to refill the tank for about $5 at Dunham's Sporting goods. There is very little difference between food safe and regular CO2 refills so don't let the Sodastream people fool you with their pick pocketing lies.

I hope never to be without one of these. The best bang for you fizzy buck. I especially like that the CO2 tank it uses can be purchased/refilled at any sporting goods center that deals with paintball equipment.

This machine is the best ever! We have been using it since Christmas so its been about three months and it works like a charm. We use the mio calories free flavor stuff and its just amazing! The Orange tangerine tastes just like an orange soda. You can't go wrong with this product!
