Out on a hog hunt early this morning, the temps were in the 40's when I got to the site. I slipped the gloves on and grabbed my rifle and back up pistol. I could grip either one vary well, I felt the triggers and the safeties on both very well. Hands never got cool or cold. Left the site 5 hours later, temps were in the 70's gloves never felt hot or sweaty... Very good gloves. Cammo pattern matches my outfit well. Glad I got them. I've added the 5th star to my rating, well worth the money.
Just to update this, so I can add about longevity of these gloves... I used them in hot and cold weather, for hunting, driving and working. For cold weather, I put these on over a pair of cotton glove liners and it worked great. Coldest night out was about 28 degrees. I keep them in my truck or backpack with me at all times they are that good. No wear, blood washed right off, still fit and feel great...Had them for 5 months of every week use...
These gloves are a very thin breathable nylon like material and the bottoms (palms) are a thicker neoprene type material. I feel like I have great dexterity with them on, not that you don't notice them on but they seem pretty close to natural. I wouldn't think they would offer much warmth while wearing but I am hoping they will work for archery shooting in fall when its too warm for a normal pair of gloves but cold enough that your finger tips wish they had something on. Not sure how well it will hold up to the bow string but I will let you know. 11-23-16 had these gloves for a few months now and i love them - I can shoot my bow with them on and my gun without removing them and they have plenty of dexterity. I was bear hunting ant it was about 14 degrees with heavy wind chill and I wore these inside another pair of gloves and was very warm. they seem warm enough alone to about 40-50 degrees depending on wind chill. all around very happy with these gloves and would reccommend them highly, buying a second pair for myself and a pair for my father and friend I think they are so good.
If you don't read additional I would assume they worked well for the price. All in all so far I am very pleased.
Only con I noticed so far is that the cuffs are not an elastic tight fitting and are a little larger then expected but i wouldn't expect that to matter just not what you might expect.
ok, so its roughly one month into bow season and I have hunted a good 10 days out of the month only wearing them on those days. and they already have a whole inthem.
mind you I have treated them rough, I hike through some crazy stuff and wash all my gear every time I get in. with that in mind I would think they would have lasted me at least the season.
don't get me wrong I LOVE them, if you are the light use kind of guy then buy them. im leaving them at three stars cause if I didn't wash em so much or just sat in a stand all day they would have made it a year.
wish I would have spent a bit more on better gloves cause now I have to get another light pair
