Place ground coffee beans in the brew filter. For best results, use fresh roasted, coarsely ground coffee. The reusable brew filter holds up to 16 tbps. of coffee.	Insert brew filter inside carafe and slowly pour 2 cups of water over coffee to dampen. Once coffee is damp fill the remainder of the carafe with water.	Tighten lid and place in refrigerator to cold brew for up to 24 hours (strength is related to brew time). For ultimate flavor extraction, stir grounds during brewing process.	After you are done remove the mesh brew filter from carafe. Easily remove the bottom lid to release used coffee grounds. Always remove brew filter before pouring coffee.

I recently discovered cold brew - I guess I’ve been on the moon the last couple years… a friend recommended it when I was complaining how regular brewed coffee has been messing with my IBS - cold brew really helps reduce the acid and bitterness, and the taste is just to die for - cue the angels playing harps from the heavens!! So smooth and sweet and creamy and rich full body- I use course ground dark roast (darker the roast = less caffeine bc the longer beans are roasted the more caffeine it loses - which also helps IBS. If you want more caffeine then go with a breakfast blend- definitely not as strong bodied but you could let it steep longer for stronger flavor) I like it strong so I let it steep 24-30hrs. I also make a batch of decaffeinated for when I’ve reached my caffeine limit but still want a cup and taste is just as good. I store in mason jar and start a new batch right away so I never run out!
What I was looking for: a way to brew at home to save $ on the coffee shops. I wanted an affordable handle glass carafe with a filter so I wouldn’t have to strain out the grounds - this checked all my boxes!
It arrived quickly and although it appeared to be new in unopened package, it was missing the cap that screws onto the bottom of the fine mesh filter that holds the grounds in. I contacted customer support (located in Florida) and they responded the same day stating they were sending me a replacement which again was delivered very quickly - so glad I didn’t have to return it - way to go cs!
I didn’t want to wait for the cap to make my first batch so I just mixed 1 part grounds to 5 parts water together knowing I’d have to strain it. Waited 24hrs - stirring it a couple of times throughout the process, and strained through cheesecloth into a large mason jar and I was on my way to a heavenly cup of joe! Since the cap arrived I no longer need to strain it - the fine mesh filter really works well!
Now that winter is setting in I usually switch to hot coffee- I just warm up a 1:1 ratio of cold brew concentrate to filtered water and zap it in the microwave, add 2 pumps of caramel syrup, a pinch of sea salt, milk, and I have a Starbucks inspired “Salted caramel cold brew” for a fraction of the price without leaving my house or having to make an extra stop or wait in the long drive-thru lines - hey, I just might just set a jar on the counter and start leaving myself a tip everytime I make a cup - could probably book a trip to Aruba soon with all that extra $$$ saved! ha!

I love coffee - not so much the taste so I'm a coffee with your cream kind of person. I generally would make a pot of hot coffee - throw it in a pitcher in the fridge and be set for a few days. I have heard that doing this creates the bitter taste that I am oh-so familair with. So I was looking for a good cold brew contraption for a while. I have to say that COLD BREW is the TICKET - it's a nice flavor with very little bitterness so I was immediately enamored! This is about a quart and a half, so it's still a good 3-4 days of coffee and I appreciate that the top is nicely fitted to allow pouring without risk of the top flying off. I'd definitely recommend this for all the amateur cold brewers out there :) I even bought a couple for gifts because i liked it so much. I think I initially FAILED to realize that it's concentrated, so I just put in some almond milk and a splash of cream and I'm all set!

So cute! The top seals well and the filter sits inside the cap with its own cover so grounds don’t slip into your coffee. It’s easy to dissemble and clean. The bottom unscrews from the filter for even easier cleaning. I looked it up and the plastic filter is BHP free. Not sure about PVC or phthalates. Holds more than most cold brew pots. Fits well in fridge.
And can we talk about flavor?! Sooo smooth. So rich. Not bitter and too much less less acidic (bye bye heartburn). It is slready stronger and I like it really strong so my carafe is really a cold espresso carafe. And Igo through a ton of coffee. This is the coffee your coworkers would pay you to bottle.

Try a mixing a chocolate flavor coffee with regular grounds and a bit of cinnamon. OMG. So good.

This has made it so much cheaper to indulge in cold coffee, and I also get to decide how intense/strong to mix it. I am not a daily coffee drinker, so the fact that it lasts a while in the refrigerator makes it all that much better, and cold brew coffee is not as acidic as regularly brewed coffee that is then iced. Cleaning it is a breeze.

Perfect little pitcher! Fits right inside my fridge door, no coffee grounds in my coffee- you need to make sure you use coarse ground coffee. I grind my own beans, fill the filter 2/3 of the way and then pour the water right through the center of the coffee grinds - next day I have great tasting Cold brewed coffee! I love that it’s a glass pitcher! I think most people that say it exploded may have put hot water in it and then put it in the fridge- you can’t do that with some glass- it will crack instantly due to the rapid temp change! I had no issues with mine at all. Super easy to clean, as well.

I tried this after using a bodum French press for cold brew for many years. In the bodum, the course grinds are free to float through the water and that seems to enable way more transfer of flavor for a much richer, concentrated coffee (not to mention utilizing the beans more effectively). The con of this method is that you get a little bit of the fine grounds that go through the bodum filter (so I usually filter a second time = mess and time).

This on the other hand, compresses the grinds and hardly allows for any water surface area to collide with the beans. I did a full carafe with just under a cup of grinds and the coffee came out so so diluted, almost undrinkable. Another issue is that it took about 30 minutes of adding a little bit of water at a time to fill this up (adding water through the grind holder).

The pro is that clean up is easy... But I think you only get about half of the extraction from the beans - huge waste.

The filter is too small and only holds up to ~150g of coarse grind beans. It also sits too high so you have to have too much water in the jug for it to be able to soak, and the mesh seems too fine to allow a proper soak - you just end up with a solid core of damp grinds and lightly infused water.
This product seems a lot more like a loose tea infusion jug than a cold brew jug.

The best results I can get are when I use a completely different jug to mix grinds + water, then once the soak is done I pour it through this filter. So basically it works best if I don't use it for its advertised purpose.
Additionally it is described as being designed specifically to be this size so it fits in a fridge door - it does not fit in my fridge door.

On en vient à faire ça autrement que la procédure suggéré par le vendeur. Sinon, je ne trippe pas sur le goût du café infusé froid. J'ai l'habitude de me faire un café froid à partir de pods expresso que je refroidi avec des glaces et du lait d'avoine. Avec ça, ça goûte le vieux café frettte! Mais, c'est pas la faute du vendeur. C'est une question de goût. Actuellement, je l'utilise avec des citrons et des limes, c'est pratique!

Seems to be okay, so far. For those who are wondering what the ratios are with this - the internal filter can hold 115g of coffee grounds (with a little space on top), and 1.35L of water brings it to close to the top (so the grounds are almost fully immersed, but not quite). The ratio I like for full flavour is 100g coffee to 1L of water (this is strong). Here, 115g of coffee needs 1.15L water. In order to get the water near the top and almost fully immerse the grounds, I had to add 1.35L. So pretty close. Let's see how it tastes. UPDATE: tastes great. Really strong
