I've had this stove for over a year and used it many times, and repaired it many times.
The good
The stove works reliably even in a brisk breeze and I like the extended cook area because I often use two pans at a time. Also, the lid removes easily for more overlap area when used in a sheltered area. The burners are a good size and the grate is very sturdy for a camp stove.
The two handles and side clasps make sure the lid doesn't pop open when the stove is being carried.
The integral propane hose/regulator works well for me since I use a larger propane cylinder (10 lbs with an adapter). The stove has clips and a recessed area on the back so the hose/regulator stores right on the stove. I like this feature a lot although it does mean that there is a hose full of propane that needs to be burned off before disconnecting.
Some issues:
On high it puts out a lot of heat (good) but it is hard to adjust for a low flame (no so good). The range of control goes from off to high in very little. It would be better to have more adjustment at the low end.
The piezo igniter never did work well and now doesn't work at all. OK since I always have a long neck propane lighter, but really, simple tech like this should work reliably on a stove that costs this much.
The adjustable foot is nice, but needed to be repaired (easy) and I made all four feet adjustable while I was at it. Now, leveling the stove is really easy. Also, I had to re-rivet one of the side clasps. The magnetic side panel holders were too weak in the wind and I replaced them with stronger magnets.
So, if you are willing and able to make some repairs/adjustments and really want the attached hose/regulator then this could be a workable choice. But I'd recommend something more reliable for the average user.

I have a dual fuel Coleman stove that smokes a lot, is an adventure to light, and even more entertaining to vary heat production. My wife is...not a fan. I bought this Primus based on the reviews and the other Primus products I have used. If you are looking for a very well designed, easy starting, high heat, easy to use camp stove...look no further. It burns very clean and quiet on propane cylinders and packs away quickly and easily. If you want hassle free cooking while camping, this is a great stove. However, if you want an adventure, a challenge, and the smell of fuel on your clothes while camping...I recommend a Coleman dual fuel stove.

Prior to purchasing the Primus Firehole, I did quite a lot of research online and shopping in the stores. The Primus appeared to have the best design, quality feel and highest heat. I ordered this unit and received it in only 2 days. the package was shipped very well packed and protected. The permanent hose attachment is a great design feature. I tested the unit and the amount of heat was amazing, consistent with all of the reviews which is the most important feature. The side support tables are especially nice adding extra space. The magnetic wind panels on the side are nice versus the 'T' Latch other Mfg's use. The cooking surface is also very good quality.
I have since glanced at a few more stoves after purchasing and the quality just doesn't compare. Very happy with purchase so far.

I bought this looking for a quality stove, based on reviews and the Primus reputation, I thought this would fit the bill.
The Good
- Very solid feeling stove, the 200 has an upgraded grate that is very heavy duty
- The self storing hose is nice
- Good burner adjustment - Initially - see comment in the Bad
The Bad
- The pretty red paint was chipped right out of the box, - anywhere the cover contacts it when closed is going to chip.
- Spills can't be cleaned from the red surface without ruining it.
- The Piezo lighter is hit and miss
- The right burner started sputtering and tuned cherry hot ( like it was plugged )
- The right burner knob stripped, had to use pliers to adjust
All of this was within the first 5 uses - I returned the stove - still looking for a high quality stove - this was not.
