From the Author

Dear Reader:

There are times when an ordinary life can become extraordinary. When in the beat of a lonely heart events can unfold in ways we never could have imagined in our wildest dreams.

It is during one ordinary snowy day that Reese Harding is struggling to find her Christmas spirit. Holidays of years gone by have left a bitter taste in her mouth. And then in a heartbeat she finds the most handsome stranger standing in her way. He just happens to be an honest-to-goodness prince--but that's not for her to know just yet...

Prince Alexandro Castanavo of the Mirraccino Islands is on a mission and in order to protect his family, he must keep his true identity a secret--even from the beautiful innkeeper. He's a man who has known loss and has pledged his life to protecting his family at all costs. But now there's a wrinkle in his plans...

There's no room at the inn. Alex is being turned away, but where is he to go without being recognized? There has to be a compromise. But will the price be too high for both of them?
Thank you for joining Prince Alex and Reese on this most delightful holiday escape. Will the hope of the season heal their hurts? And will they at last gather the courage to follow their hearts?

Once in a while there are stories that come along and touch your heart more than others. This is one of those stories for me. I really hope you enjoy reading this Christmas tale of love and hope as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Happy reading,
Jennifer

Thought most this book was kind of boring. Not horrible. Just total forgettable. I thought the hero treated the heroine poorly toward the end of the book. Just leaving her for 24 hours on her own with no word. And the beach scene. I would have liked her more if she would have ripped him a new one. And he just stood there like he hardly knew her. No ma'am-She should have slapped him down. I didn't care much for him. At least she did play somewhat hard to get after that.

Who hasn’t dreamt as a child to meet a charming prince and become a princess? If you’re raising your hand and saying, “me” than maybe this book isn’t for you.
If, on the other hand, you’re like me and have grown up watching Disney movies and dreaming of being swept away by a handsome prince just like all the female characters in those movies, you should grab a copy of this book.
A Princess By Christmas is a modern fairytale, featuring Reese, an independent American woman struggling to make ends meet and save her family inn from the debts her father left behind when he died, and Alexandro, a handsome Mediterranean prince in disguise who’s travelling to New York to take away the attention of the paparazzi from a scandal looming over his royal family back home. If he becomes the target for the paparazzi, they’ll be too busy to go dig into his twin brother’s (and crown prince) life, so all he needs to do is spread rumours about him having fallen in love with an American girl and they’ll follow him to New York. There’s only one problem: he hasn’t found a fake girlfriend yet – but when he meets Reese, the owner of the inn he’s booked a stay in, his immediate attraction to her throw him a little off kilter. As a member of the royal family, he has duties and expectations – falling in love is not on his agenda. Neither is on Reese’s.
As they start to get closer, the attraction gets harder to ignore and when Alex is forced to tell Reese the truth, things become even more complicated. It’s all supposed to be a charade, and Reese doesn’t want to give her heart to Alex, no matter how charming he is but when the line between reality and pretense blurs, can they keep to their initial plan and part ways as soon as the situation has been fixed?

Pretty good book. Innkeeper Reese is startled to find on her doorstep a gorgeous man who claims he has a reservation but it turns out he's rented HER rooms for the weekend. This is due to he mother's omission to record the rental. Unknown to Reese, the handsome stranger is Prince Alessando of Mirraccino, who is on a delicate mission for his father! Very good plot & characters.

In An Oyster Shell - It was a tasteful, delightful romance. I can't wait to read the next book.

The Pearls - The story premise intrigued me right from the beginning. I love Princess stories. I have for a long time. So I was hooked right from the beginning. The opening introduction of the characters with the setting kept me sucked in.

Reese is struggling to make ends meet at her inn. Several years earlier she'd had to leave school, giving up her dreams of becoming an artist, when her father died. His death brought secrets to light that devastated her mother and made it difficult for Reese to trust another man.

Alex shows up at the inn one night, expecting to be able to stay in the room he had reserved. Unfortunately, there had been a mix-up and there were no rooms available. In order not to lose his deposit, Reese put him up in her room until one became available for him. Alex is in New York to try to head off a scandal involving his older brother and an ill-advised marriage. He is attracted to Reese and finds her infinitely fascinating, but knows there is no chance of a relationship between them. Alex has spent most of his adult life paying very close attention to his duty to his family and country and ignoring anything that would be strictly for himself. He also refuses to allow himself to fall in love, having seen his father's devastation after his mother's death. Alex comes up with the idea of asking Reese to pretend to be his girlfriend in order to draw the paparazzis' attention. He doesn't expect to start to have feelings for her.

Reese liked Alex before she found out who he was. He was attractive, nice and fun to be with. She wasn't so happy when she found out his secret, as she'd had enough experience with deception thanks to her father. When Alex begged for her help in order to protect his brother and his home, she couldn't say no. She knew that there was no chance that their deception could become real, but her heart was harder to convince. When he took her home to his Mediterranean island she was entranced by it.

This story is a modern day fairy tale romance with a holiday backdrop which makes the romance that much sweeter.

Reese is a strong young woman who has survived some pretty big emotional wallops in her life. She doesn’t trust men, with good reason. As the story opens, Reese is struggling to keep the old mansion she has set up as a B&B afloat after her father left Reese and her mother in deep debt. Reese has had to give up her dreams in order to keep her business running and take care of her emotionally fragile mother.

When a handsome man with a sexy accept shows up at the house claiming he has a reservation, it’s immediately apparent there has been some kind of mistake. Arrangements are made for this mysterious, and rather persistent man despite having no available rooms for him.

Alex is a prince who has traveled to America in hopes of drawing attention from the media away from this brother and his latest scandal which could put his country’s regime in peril. He never dreamed he would meet the woman who would cause him to question his staunch adherence to duty and obligation.

The story was just a bit uneven at the beginning and was oddly disjointed which disrupted the flow. It was just little slow moving at first and the set up took up a little too much time. But, once the story reached the half way mark all those little kinks had been smoothed out and I found myself really involved in the plot.

Alex was so nice and sweet and so open with his feelings but, he was also bogged down by the rules of his family and country and their expectations. I thought it was kind of ironic that his wayward brother would teach Alex a thing or two about love and life. Reese would have to work hard to open herself up like Alex.
