THE PRINCESS FABLES is a charming collection of stories that offer entertainment as well as teaching and encouraging good character values in children. Reviewed by Maya Fleischmann for IndieReader. (indiereader.com/2014/06/princess-fables/)
These short stories are far from complex. And this is just what makes them so appealing and relatable. The stories are enjoyable for children and their parents, the black and white pen and ink illustrations have a fairytale quality about them. It's a delightful listening experience for young children or a happy reading experience for children ages 7 and up.
From the Author
Brooke asked Marc to write this fairytale when he visited her for the last time in a New York City hospital six months ago. His hope is to create a beautifully designed hardcover keepsake as a tribute to the amazing little girl who inspired him, but the expense of doing that are beyond his means.
He is inviting the public to partner with him in his mission to bring a real Princess' fairytale to life.

Some of the overarching themes of the fables are the importance of being the best you can be, showing kindness to others, overcoming doubts and fears, and making a difference in life. All of these are very beneficial life lessons that can help children grow up in a more constructive way.
Also, I have found myself thinking of scenes from the book throughout each day. I like that Marc writes in a way to instill imagination—as if you have watched a movie instead of reading the book. The scenes and characters stay with you long after the book is finished.
One of my favorite fables is “The Princess Who Always Said, ‘Not Today.’” I love the ocean theme and reminder that it’s important to experience life and embrace the beauty of the sea and God’s creation.
I am confident this book would have been one of my favorites growing up and that I would have asked my parents to read The Princess Fables to me again and again. :-)
With warmest wishes to Marc Clark for continued success,
Susan R Shutt
Classic + Modern = Timeless.
P.S. I only removed one star because I'd like to encourage more to be made. Simply not enough :)
