Important Shape Looks Well Made
This brush, far left seems well made. It is synthetic but at least accurately described and truthful. I have not used this variety of Princeton, but for the price of this line, it seems good.The middle brush, a Silver Black Velvet is one of my favorite brands. It is a combo of genuine squirrel and synthetic. It has high water capacity while the synthetic provides a little more stiffness and durability. The one disadvantage is a higher price point. Still I have had all mine(9) plus a set of travel ones. I have had most for 5-10 yrs. I wanted to try a less expensive one in a large size so chose this. The travel brush at the other end is also a synthetic. It’s always a plus to have several sizes. I will see how it lasts. I think I’m good now, lol.

Then I did a wash around the edges - wetting the paper first and painting in - holds a great amount of water (I was able to wet all edges easily without going back to dip it in water again).
The handle is fantastic - it has a soft rubber like coating and is very comfortable. Note: you don't remove the plastic around the coil. I've seen people ask that before and that's a no.
Overall - I LOVE THIS BRUSH!!! I loved painting with it so much I bought another to keep with me as my plein air brush as well as it's the only one I need. If you are a beginner, get this brush and save money buying different brands and types - not really needed. If you are more advanced, you will love this brush as well. I've wanted a quill for awhile and finally got around to getting one - wish I'd bought one a few years ago as I could have saved a lot of money on the other brushes. Easy to paint with - easy to control - holds paint well - blends well - washes well - and easy clean.

I rec'd this today and to test it out I painted the attached pic. When I first got it, I was surprised by the size - it is big! I put the brush in the ref photo - pad used is a 4x6. I thought - it will be good for washes. The brush came with a large plastic covering, so on mine tip is protected well. If you look at the photo, you'll see I did a lot of little designs first (and keep in mind the pad is small) and then I came back to paint the background of the clothes and as you can see the tip was so good that I was able to paint around the designs easily and intricately. Simplesmente frágil demais, e apesar de a Princeton proteger a ponta do pincel na fabricação, qualquer embalagem que por acaso for colocada em cima do envelope que a loja embalou, pode avariar o pincel....eu dei sorte, chegou intacto sos EUA p o Brazil.
