Dr. McIntosh’s involvement in planning, directing education and being true to her calling is clearly evident from the first page to the last. The Reflections given at the end of each day motivates the reader to continue their life’s journey because there’s more than meets the eye and surpasses all understanding.
As a reader, you will experience the joy, pain, dedication, and sacrifice of an extraordinary educator/administrator who all students, parents, teachers, and school district administrators should have the privilege of walking through education with even though she sometimes puts on mismatched shoes in her flurry to get to the educational mind field. On the other hand, an Authoritarian Leader expects blind submission, is bossy and demanding. Their approach is more like a dictatorship “Do as I say or else...” This type of approach was not characteristic of her leadership and therefore may explain why she experienced success many times over with her team.It was a unique 31 day tour and reveal of the emotional, social, personal, professional, spiritual, and physical challenges of her life as a principal.
