I have quite a few books on surface design, dyeing and so on, but found this book well worth buying, unlike the previous reviewer. After all, how many NEW techniques are there? The photos are sumptuous and eyecatching, techniques are well-summarised, and there were ideas in there that I haven't tried before. A good buy as far as I'm concerned.

Don't buy this if it is the only book on printing that you intend to buy. It is a good book to introduce you to paper and fabric printing using modern materials which are all easy to purchase on the internet. The explanations are reasonable but no step-by-step pics. This is to encourage you to experiment, but could prevent you from actually being brave enough to start something. Her own fabrics are inspirational! I am looking out for a step-by-step book to use along with this one.
