It took some doing to get the printer to recognize the newly refilled cartridge. No real instructions came. I ended up rebooting the computer and turning off power to the printer. Wait. Then turn it back on and turn the printer on. It WILL recognize the new cartridge - but it will say that it may be empty.

To solve this problem, I'm buying a chip resetter today. Still, it works and I'm saving a ton on ink now.

I thought this would be great, however I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong - the ink does not all go into the container- it started spraying out the other end of the container??? I got good color on the first round, however when I loaded them back, the color was not the same? I definitly need more dircetions.

I do like the transparent cartridges so I can easily see how much ink is left. They are easy to refill and do not dribble too much in the process.

However, our printer (MX882) seems to have some trouble regularly recognizing when we refill a cartridge. Sometimes it takes a few days to finally notice, and sometimes we need to remove and reinsert them. Sometimes cleaning the contacts helps, sometimes not. Once it recognizes it, everything prints fine. Often it will continue to print with out the recognition, but continually shows a low ink level.

The autoreset feature is a nice improvement over our old Canon printer refill system. In the old system, the printer never knew how much ink was left. In these cartridges, the printer does know the ink level(when it recognizes the cartridge)

I guess the product works good so far, but the label on the bottles are not "printpayless". not if that may make any difference so far, maybe in the long run it may ruin the printer head sooner.

I have used the PrintPayLess refillable cartridges for my Epson printer for several years with no problems and with excellent photo prints. As soon as I purchased a Canon printer to replace the older Epson, I ordered the cartridge set and ink for the new printer to have on hand for when the original Canon cartridges expire. The cartridge set with inks from PPL costs a fraction of the cost of a set from Canon or Epson and lasts for years.
