This musical celebrates the best of disco-ish pop music that's infectious to listen to, and fun as well. If you are a fan of the movie, The Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert (Extra Frills Edition) then you'll know that music played an important part of the story, especially ABBA. However, in its latest American incarnation, the songs chose have quite a range, from the disco era MacAuthur Park, to pop icon Madonna. I worried that the songs selected would somehow not fit, after all, how powerful is the opening to the movie Charlene's "I've Never Been to Me".
Fear unfounded. The music fits (how so is a bit of a mystery since I haven't seen it yet), although if you know the movie, you can imagine how it fits. One of my favorite songs on the disk "I Love the Night Life" seems to start with the lovely lady in the bar Shirley singing a drunk version of the song.Read more ›

Well nice music. Original ones but I liked the theatrical version more.Published 4 months ago by FACUNDO L.
I usually don't like musicals that cover pop songs, but I listened to the sample tracks and the cast truly made these pop-disco radio hits their own. Read morePublished on January 27, 2014 by Mark Leroi
