1.0 out of 5 stars Received a counterfeit set
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on July 24, 2018
Unfortunately I received a counterfeit set of prismacolor.

I bough the exact same set about 6 months ago and had run out of some colours and I thought I'd just buy another set as it's much cheaper in the long run.

How did I know they are counterfeit? Quite a few ways.

The moment I opened the tin I knew something was wrong, loads of strange colors I'd never seen before. Now this isn't a case of colors I didn't have in my other set but colors that are supposed to be the same but completely different. See my pictures.

In the picture the short pencils are the real prismacolor and hue longer pencils the fakes. The pencils are supposed to be the same color as the ones they're directly next to but as you can see there is quite a difference.

They feel different, everything from how they lay down on paper, how they (don't) blend and (don't) layer. How they feel when sharpening, the noise they make when you drop them and even their smell. These are not prismacolor.

As I'd bought the exact same set before, at a slightly higher price, and was extremely happy with them I didn't bother to look at the reviews. But a quick look shows a lot of people are having the same issue as me which makes me wonder why amazon are continuing to sell these?

1.0 out of 5 stars I believe the product to be fake! (seller GxrrF)

I don't usually comment on products but I feel I have to on this instance.... I believe the product to be fake! I had never used Prismacolor pencils before receiving these so I had nothing to compare them to, I thought they were ok to be honest. But having ordered some Prismacolor replacement single pencils from another supplier and these are in different league! Lesson learned about buying cheap!
Photo's
Yellow pencils- the original one is on the right, sharpened different
Black pencil - bottom is the original
Blue pencil, the top is the new original replacement (its a different shade blue)

5.0 out of 5 stars Tout simplement les meilleurs crayons que j'ai eu...

5.0 out of 5 stars Ahora, contentísima!!
Reviewed in Spain on August 2, 2018
