There is a definite error in the marketing of this book that says the two are "pen pals" --they never write to each other, they just have a disgusting and implausible sexual relationship in the prison itself.
Neither the hero nor the heroine is likable. He's boob-obsessed and crude and she picks on this vet that she strings along making fun of his comic book habits, which are perfectly normal.
Also, the authors lack basic knowledge of sex etiquette. You probably can't detect a hymen with your tongue and you do not stick your condomless dick back in the vag after anal. That's all kinds of wrong and the heroine would have likely suffered multiple infections from such treatment. Also being six months pregnant is way more noticeable than the authors think.
But mostly I'm pissed about it not being a penpal relationship. BAIT AND SWITCH!
The entire book is juvenile and completely unbelievable. No way would an inmate have free reign over the entire prison!! And sex in prison?? I don’t think so! Where are the guards??
Words and phrases that were repeatedly used were childish and downright laughable at times — “boobies”, “melons” and “unnnhhh!” were used over and over again. Also, I found it odd that the heroine made the same noises, “unnhh”, as the inmates. Is there no other word that could have been used?? Talk about inconsistencies with the characters and overuse!
This book needed an editor badly as well — someone who knows the proper use of a comma! This read like a rough draft by a 15-year-old girl...or boy, considering how many times the main character said “boobies”.
The entire story had me rolling my eyes and saying “yuck” more times than I could count. Nothing about her “creaming” everywhere was even remotely sexy. I’ve read plenty of romance novels, so I’m not a prude in any way, but that was just plain old nasty.
Overall, this was a horribly juvenile book with false advertisement by the authors since the blurb doesn’t even fit this book plot.
