Wow, what a sweet and touching romance this was! Adelaide appeared a bit broken at first, but quickly shows herself to be a strong, competent, and compassionate woman. Although Miles's deception was a little off-putting, I understood where he was coming from even if I didn't agree with him. He was a wonderful husband to Adelaide though and together they made an adorable couple. When I picked this up I thought it was going to be a clean read, but discovered instead that it does have a couple of very sensual love scenes. For a novella the characters were not only well developed but lovable too, and Miles's two daughters were a delightful addition as were his parents. The romance was slowly developed but lovely in its intensity, and the pacing was excellent and spanned a five week period. Overall I probably would have given this book five stars if it hadn't been for the large number of typos and I think some editing would go a long way toward improving the story. In the end though it was still an emotionally engaging little romance and I can't wait to read Cinnamon's book next =)
